100% agree with you about plug in petrol hybrids, but proper self charging diesel hybrids are a different kettle of fish. 2.2l diesel merc that runs on free electricity around town but can hold its own on the motorway and country roads is the way forward until there is proper infrastructure for hydrogen

I bought a Corolla Hybrid sport last year, brilliant car, not a plug in one, but it uses the battery as supplemental power, it switches between battery/petrol itself, also uses the electric motor for acceleration and it takes off like a rocket. Great fuel economy, currently 4.1lt per100k mainly city driving.

Just heard about the news in the U.K on how that Tesla car spun out of control and rammed through the fence and onto the train tracks. Really is sad for what happened to that women, these vehicles should be manufactured and designed to not be caused in those incidents. Tesla in general sucks.
