Quit in 2018 when diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. Noticed social anxiety disappeared. Started coffee again late last year to cope with working 2 jobs in a "hybrid" office role. Then landed in ER with gastritis due to coffee! Off again cold turkey. Coffee isn't for me. I'm calm again. Oh and I quit the stupid job. No regrets.

I have quit caffeine for like 13 days and let me tell man; my energy level throughout the day is constant, i feel motivated most of the time where else i needed caffeine to feel motivated perviously, Alhamdulillah i read ton of books now and i don't need coffee to focus, Alhamdulillah my sleep quality has improved and i think that is the reason that i feel energetic all the time. There is no CRASH like caffeine. The only bummer is the morning workouts. People remember this at the end of the day IT IS A DRUG.

Start with green tea to avoid the headaches and Lethargic feeling. Then wein off the green tea. This is the easiest way to do it. Once you are completely off, then it’s just thinking about all the negatives to having caffeine, also smash a gallon of water a day. You will see, you have just as much energy in about 5 days completely off.

I am off for just over 70 days so far and I am hoping that I come out of the "caffeine haze". My energy levels have been quite low for most of my time off of it. But it also probably coincides with my seasonal depression. I told myself I would give it 6 months and see how I feel after that. Hopefully I eventually feel better. Everything. In. Moderation. Applies to everything. Anything can drive you mad depending on the stimulis' strength. Sugar, video games, sex, working out, hobbies, etc. If it makes you happy, go for it. But what he said in the video made sense too. Although I think the main take away should have been, don't rely on caffeine to function or to be happy. Dependency on anything's a slippery slope. Take care everyone.
