You know, I’m still really young but I have always wanted to start a KISS tribute band in the future. At this point I’m doing as much research as possible to prepare for the possibility. Thanks for the video!

I'm thinking of starting an Alice in chains cover band. I can play and sing Jerry Cantrell's parts.

No! What I mean that in our case we SPANISH SPOKEN need to be carefoul with our pronunciation, thats what i ment... can I show you my DEMOS of the u2 tribute banda that im pulling together? THANKS

I would probably just listen to the words, phonetically speaking just the sounds of the words and try to match them try to get the accent, right like if I was listening to a Spanish song, I would work on the musicality of the words or the accent. Even if I didn’t know the words, I could phonetically sing them if I learn how to say them.if you’re playing for a crowd in your country, you should be good no matter what.

Do you have a video / thinking about making a video on how to go about making a tribute band. It seems to be a lot of money - as someone who loves a certain group but has no experience on managing a group or has any knowledge of the music industry, I have no clue where to start or on the costs
@seanmormelo01
@seanmormelo01 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Rebecca how are you doing? The thing is if you have no experience and no knowledge of the music industry you can’t just automatically start a successful band. I suggest you start from the bottom and learn as you go there’s lots of books you can read on it you could take online music business courses at Berkelee online, but the music business is something that you learn as you go. There’s so much to it it’s like me asking a doctor how to go about starting a heart surgery practice. It’s years and years of knowledge before I can even begin to talk the talk. I hope that helps a little and set you on your path of knowledge.

What do you mean the language? Do you mean? Is it OK to sing the songs in Spanish? For instance? I wouldn’t do that. I would perform everything in English.

I've always wanted to do a tribute band. I've hopped around some, I've learned songs and licks, and I know more than one instrument. Some of the bands I've wanted to tribute are a little more niche in the tribute world. Such as Mötorhead, for example. I don't have the exact voice of Lemmy. Far from it. But I can play a majority of the bass lines. One band I've really been into since being surprised with was ZZ Top (as a couple days late birthday gift, it was great). I heard new songs that have since never left my head. I've got Dusty's chops, or at least I'm sure I do. However, for an early adult, can't grow the beard long enough nor can I get that stature. But I've got the material down. So, if I was to start a ZZ Top Tribute (and theatrics would be a separate issue I'll deal with later), how would I get the word out that I'm looking for people?

I've just recently joined a bon Jovi tribute band as the singer and I'm very nervous as I'm not good at moving like him,but I do sound like him very much

It’s a performance cell mimic his performance. Copped the vibe. Watch a bunch of videos of him watch what he does on stage and kind of do that. It’s just like learning a song. You got this he’s not doing any choreographed crazy dance moves.

@@seanmormelo01 Yea definitely, it may take awhile but , im sure ive got the voice down, i dont look like him but that doesnt really matter in the long run as long as the spirit of bon jovi is there, thanks for the advice dude.

I wonder what the market would be for the doors… I really can’t imagine anyone under 60 wanting to go see that let alone my age. It would probably be primarily a boomer act and I don’t think it would be something that’s a huge moneymaker. I hold his opinion primarily because I just don’t see any around at all. But every market isn’t the same. If you think there’s a market for it I say go for it.

How do I start a tribute band? I live in Hawaii.
@seanmormelo01
@seanmormelo01 Жыл бұрын
I think a tribute might be challenging there but if you find the players and it’s feasible. There’s enough gigs to get you started locally to start building a name and enough of a prospect for future $$ to be able to expand out from there it might be able to be done. I’ve never played in HI. It strikes me as the type of place where you’d stay mostly on your island but I have been there. It seems to me if you were on the big island you can play on one side and then the other. Maybe a couple gigs a month to start building it up. I used to have friends that flew back-and-forth from Alaska and gigs on Maui or the big island and then back in Anchorage. So I think it’s definitely feasible.
