I’d rather face zombies. There’s not much I’m scared of. But I’ll fully admit, spiders are definitely top of the fear list. GIANT SPIDERS??? Nah, I’m checkin myself out of this one early.

My two favorite scenes are the Dirt Bike drivers getting wrecked by the jumping spiders and then the Trapdoor Spiders taking out the Ostrich. It felt like a comical version of the "Don't Go Into the Long Grass" part of the Lost World.

I'd definitely say for the fun of it why you wouldn't survive Graboids/Shriekers/Assblasters. Oh yeah, we'd definitely find a co-existance stance with them eventually, something about a giant ass worm digging under my feet then swallowing me whole has me scared lol. Or we'd eventually go into Burt Gummer mode and lead to their extinction.

I always thought Tank killed him so fast at the beginning was because even without venom, those large fangs pointing downward into his spine above or between his shoulder blades where he can’t reach, enough jabs eventually it’s going to sever the column and paralyze everything below

Eight legged freaks is my favorite Giant bug movie of ALL time, it's a movie that I can never get tired of, I just skip the animal deaths, because of course I can't stand animals getting killed, I'd also named my girl dog Chihuahua Prosperity after the Prosperity Mall from this movie, sadly and heartbreaking me and my dog never did get to watch this movie together, because not only I couldn't find this movie anywhere at the time, and when I did found it, it was in a flea market in 2020, but my baby girl didn't make it to that year, because on August 4th 2019 she died, cause of death was unknown, she died in my arms, I miss her every day, and I tried to not mention her a lot because it hurts me so much, she had went through so much in her life, monsters who had her before didn't feed her that good, she had terrible seizures, it took her a while to finally be full of energy, freedom of her horrible past, and happy with life and joy, and I had helped her so much, and then one day she just died, I definitely miss her every day, when I found this movie, I watch it in her memory, I love my baby girl Prosperity, and I miss her every day, and one day we'll see each other again. 😔😔😔😔😔😟😟😟😟😟🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔

Still one of my favorite horror movies. The last of the Drive-In monster movies. Even though it was campy they really went in hard on the kill scenes so I don't blame you for making this video. Jumping spiders are adorable. Its the only spider Im okay with actually having on me. But...if the size of a dog, it would be the most horrific predator on the planet. Our only hope would be to breed Eagles the size of cesnas, and even then, it would be a toss up on who got who. Jumping spiders think, have almost super natural abilities in jumping, have eyesight just as good as we do at their current size. They make the raptors in Jurassic park look like short bus riding snails in terms of predation and hunting. If we didnt have guns and missles and such, the jumpers would exinct us in very short order and become THE dominate species on Earth.

But my moongooning sessions (that i do frequently) have been invading the spaces in my mind so severely that nearly everytime i read the title, i though you were talking about the 8 legged chinease man that appears if you haven't used enough elk blood before/during your moongooning session. I always liked this movie as a kid because it came out then...never had a fear of spiders, more a Hatred because I've been bit a few too many times, but definitely never drank from a Water Hose after the Miner sucking the hose that was blocked by spiders.

Okay after this video, I want to hear you do a cover of "The Cockroach that Ate Cincinnati", a really old doctor demento song. Fits the video very well. I have mixed feelings about spiders in general. I used to be afraid of them.Then I started gardening, and learned how useful they were. So I left the spiders to their business. I have a very "leave them alone" kind of respect for spiders. That said there's a very big hole in this scenario, the atmosphere is not dense enough to support giant arthropods. Look at the carboniferous period of prehistory. Its very very like this scenario. But it came about because plants discovered how to make wood as a form of protection from parasitic fungi. This resulted in carbon dioxide being trapped in organic matter in the soil and a reduced rate of decay, which boosted the oxygen ratio of the planet. Some of the best known inhabitants of that era are dragonflies the size of eagles, six foot long centipedes and trapdoor spiders the size of manhole covers. It came to an end when parasitic fungi figured out how to attack and break down wood, releasing the trapped carbon dioxide and returning the atmosphere to normal. I'm oversimplifying, but that's the gist. Because of their circulatory systems, arthropods cannot survive in the modern atmosphere. They would suffocate, unable to transport oxygen to their entire body. Guess what arachnids are... arthropods! The entire premise for the movie, and thus your scenario, is dependant upon atmospheric conditions that haven't existed for hundreds of millions of years. An interesting alternative would be normal sized spiders in this scenario. Since they're so toxic that even small ones biting you is lethal. You could take inspiration from the Sydney Funnel Web Spider. If you want an example of the sort of scenario I'm thinking of, look up the Insect Hell canon for SCP. There's also an scp that I forgot the number of but that I know the Volgun has covered before, involving a flying colony of spiders of diverse species. Lemme look it up on his channel... here we go, SCP 1506 Aerial Arachnid by DrMrTheMinotaur. Personally I find that even more terrifying than 8 legged freaks is. It's also a Keter, so you might have come across it while researching your why you wouldn't survive scp videos. I still think the scp franchise and your series would be better served by covering the different canons that involve apocalyptic threats. There's quite a few.

I'd see no problem taking care of the issue, since most arachnids are solidary creatures and cannibalistic. They only eat when hungry and as mentioned before will eat their own. As male reach their final star molt they will deposit their sperm. They will then wander searching for females to mate with and have 6 or more months to live.

We would be fine... the movie took a lot of liberties, but ultimately, they would never get that big. Even if the circulatory systems became 100 percent more efficient, it would still be a limiting factor

This movie is what got me scared of spiders as a kid.

I'm gonna be honest, this one felt a lot more "assumptiony" that they normally do. Or at least, it was a little more obvious in this one. Like, we have no indicator that the reproduction of the giant spiders would be any greater than normal spiders. Heck, unless I'm just misremembering, we never actually see any spider reproduction in that movies, so its entirely possible that their mutations reduced, or even removed, their reproductive capabilities. The type of spider being dealt with is still limited to the kind of spider giving birth. Just because they grew and mutated, doesn't mean they are randomly going to start giving birth to multiple completely different species. Also, mutations aren't viruses. You can't spread a mutation via water supply. The closest thing to that we see in the movie, is the consumption of a "chemical infected" creature, causes mutations. So, in order for more things to join the ranks of giant mutants, they would have to eat the giant spiders, which seems unlikely, based on their place in the food chain. We also know that the mutation is very specific to spiders. The crickets that the spiders ate didn't mutate. There was also no other creature, bug or otherwise, that mutated along with the spiders, despite a full water supply being corrupted. Ultimately, I think this "why you wouldn't survive" is more of a "why you might not survive", because this particular "apocalypse" is easily within humanity's power to handle, and potentially would be handled without humanity's interference (if their reproduction was actually completely shut down by the mutation.).

So I was at my house and like 9 years old at the time and my cousin soudently say, lets go to the movies, me not thinking much of it say yeah sure and not knowing what movie was, got to say did not whatch it all, went to get some candy and whatched it in parts going in to check it out and NOPEING the hell out
