My eyes nearly bulged out at 0.50! We don’t have those birds in the Southeast, USA. They are gorgeous! I’m researching putting in a pond now. I’m interested in one I saw which is meant as an all natural swimming pool- for creatures and people. I am not physically able to maintain a swimming pool. I have had large koi ponds. If I could combine the two, it would be perfect!

My advice would be to do some research first. We put a very small pond in but it doesn't get enough sun so we get virtually no wildlife and plants find it hard to grow.

Ffs my wife said I can build a wildlife pond in this particular area of the garden only for me to notice 3 year down the line it gets very little sun.

that's a "basic diy" 101, you can't just go diggin for a pond before research about things like: source and circle of water (if you live in places that suffer from deseases caused by insectes like moskitos and stuff, you can't leave plan water, so you'll have to add movement etc), light, how it will be cleaned, the list goes on and on
