I'm 29. I had no personality until 24-25. Over the years, I learnt not to burn out. You burn out because you don't know how to balance

Hi Anvi, thank you for this video. It’s hard finding content like this on KZfaq that I can relate to regarding career and personal development as a young woman. I relate to your way of thinking and have been through those same burn out situations when I was in college trying to grind my way into my dream career. I graduated with a finance degree back in 2019 and am now 26 yo working for the fed govt as an operations analyst making over $100k. Even though it’s not my dream career, it is a comfortable job that pays well and is remote which is awesome and fits with my lifestyle. However, I’m at a point in my life where I feel like I want more. I want to make more money and want to learn more so that I can be a SME and in a management position in my 30s. At the same time, me and my husband are actively saving for a house so that we can start building wealth. I have to admit though I suck at dealing with FOMO but am training myself to be ok with it now that I put myself on a stricter budget with having to save for a house. Most of my friends and family are not in the same situation and have the yolo mindset and want to party and live life which I totally understand as well but I’m on my way to learning to say no and being ok with FOMO as a sacrifice to building my life to match my goals and aspirations.

Thank you Avni! This felt so good. I’m in my early 30s and I feel the same way about it. I’ve got 10+ years of experience with 4 major career pivots and I’m a Business Strategist who work on contract basis. I’m looking for a full-time role in SaaS and AI startups. If you know of any leads, I request you from the bottom of my heart to loop me in 😂 That would mean a world to me. Thanks a bunch and you’re doing fab and Gen She Podcast is my breakfast listen-to routine ❤

Anvi -- I'm going to admit, this is going to sound like an absolutely stupid question. But you just sounded so passionate in your video and just so sure that the seasons approach works, I just have to ask: what about the relationships (friends, family, etc) that you've built over years -- when you're tunnel-visioning for that tech internship, do you just...cut everyone out? Completely? Lose all your friends? -- If I live my life in seasons and work so hard one season to take a break the next, would I have to rebuild all my relationships?

great question! the hard answer is yes I did have to cut out my entire social life but true friends understand and will stick around so I don't have to rebuild them!
