Its a kane heat mat, I use the rstat to control the temp, works great for big lizards, and lots of sizes to choose from.

Hi Simba. I'm confused by the whole "2 sources of UV" comment. I'm assuming this doesn't apply to T5 7% UVB strips for leopard geckos? I literally never see my gecko basking mid-day, and almost always avoiding UV exposure even with a 16" high 45 Gallon tank and metal mesh. I don't have a solar meter to measure, but I feel that's the appropriate range of UV intensity for the species, and I only see her bask in mornings and RARELY evenings. I turn off my UV an hour and a half before my Halogen goes off, and then my DHP stays on another hour to an hour and a half, then it's just heat mat set to 78 in the hot dry hide at night. My question is this: Do I need another UVB at lower intensity/dimming/larger distance mounted on the cool side?! That seems overkill for a crepuscular/semi-nocturnal species like leopard geckos, especially when my morph is a non-melanistic baldy mix (SHTCTB)

Suggestion please do not say tank because people will then infer fish tank is a fine enclosure. Perhaps. it's not you want to say enclosure you want to say cage you want to say enclosure which includes possibly plants hardscape substrate and everything else it needs such as water dish basking rock or basking a place basking lamps uv lamps cover humidity food correct food for each type of animal. please don't say tank. thanks
