Absolutely. As a gay man in university during the late 80s and early 90s I also frequented gay bars at least once a week. I wouldn’t have hesitated to accept a proposal if he had approached me in a club. That could have been my severed head in his fridge. I’m thankful I didn’t live in Milwaukee.

There are strict rules about disrupting court proceedings. Interrupting a trial in any way can be considered contempt of court, even for victims families. They would have been told beforehand that if they felt they could not handle the trial, they should not go in, because if they for example had an emotional breakdown and had to be escorted out, they most likely wouldn't be allowed back in. They had to just be brave and endure it.

Dahmer just gives me a rotten feeling. He didn’t appear to enjoy hurting his victims. The killing and consuming appears to be all about control. The main detective described him as just pathetic and he felt sorry for him in a weird way. Rip to his victims who of course did nothing to deserve it.

I was sheltered from so much as a adolescent but I do remember hearing this trial. I must have been 13 years old and I remember dropping a lot of tears when they spoke on his 14 year old victim(s). I never thought any 1 person could be so evil. Now I really am disgusted at the whole situation. You can’t tell me the police weren’t warned by enough people or by enough situations that they didn’t know about Jeff? They chose not to follow up because the majority of people complaining and/or missing were persons of color or homosexual who were heavily discriminated against. I’d love to say the world has changed but I don’t think we’ve advanced enough to honestly say that. What a POS he was, I hope there is a special place in hell where he is always miserable and the narcissist has no one to feed his weak ego or belly.

I watched some psychologist say that Jeff’s actions against others weren’t for his own sadistic pleasures 😮& that he wasn’t sadistic towards people, but I call bullshit on this, he told Tracey Edwards that he was going to “eat it” with reference to Edwards heart, after listening to it beat!! ffs 😱 if that’s not sadistic then wtf is?! That’s absolutely terrifying, yet in interviews then he comes across like a ‘nice normal guy’ and this was to his advantage in the worst possible way. There is always someone out there who falls for the bullshit that people who commit heinous and unspeakable acts, against other humans, tells them, there is always a psyche that almost wants the evil bastard to have been “misunderstood”, it’s frustrating, some people are truly evil & Dahmer was. To say Dahmer didn’t get sadistic pleasure from his killings, is like saying kids don’t like chocolate! Outrageous & a pile of psychologist bullshit.

I understand your rightful outrage at Dahmer’s crimes, but do you really think you grasp medical terminology better, and know Dahmer better, than the licensed psychiatrists who interviewed him and worked on this case? It’s one thing to question authority and debate something rationally, with some level of training or competence. It’s another to spout off and make assumptions and judgments about complex mental health issues, and people who may only seek the truth about such bizarre and heinous behavior. If we hope to learn how to prevent future serial killers, we need to check our egos and preconceptions at the door.

He said himself that he only killed the one's he deemed attractive enough. He had plenty of one night stands/sexual encounters (about 100 in total, he told the detectives) and didn't kill all of them.

Dahmer said that every time someone asked? Maybe start listening? He did it outta of egoistic personal sexual needs and to have controll. Dahmer wanted full control, he didnt wanna bother with what the other victim wanted with sexual things. Dahmer also feared been alone, so he rather have em killed and have their parts around hes house to feel less lonley and also to use as sexual comfort. All this can be read from the interview the police did with dahmer. Search "Jeffrey dahmer FBI" and it will come, but beware, took me a week to read it all. After reading the FBI files, you see another side of dahmer aswell, ofc they never tell the public of the worst part, neither did they in court. Why he did it? Outta of lonliness, egoistic needs of sexual comfort and rather killed em then having them go. He also admitted to getting sexual intresst in organs while he cut the bodies up. You can read all this in the fbi files. Enjoy lad

This was the 1990s...less enlightened and sadly more repressive times. I grew up in the UK in the 90s. It was illegal for schools to discuss gay relationships in sex ed classes, nor could teachers promote "non-traditional relationships." This law was only overturned by the government during the 2000s.

When ppl are dead inside they tend not to show any emotion. How exactly do you expect a man who kills and eats ppl should act? Like cry? Why should there be any question about why he doesn’t cry?

The fact that he beat a dude to death with his bare fist one night, and couldn't beat up a 14-year old after a free hit to the back of the head with a giant mallet another night, makes me think he was possessed by the devil at certain times. And he loved it. And everything he did there after was just to please the devil. But when he wasn't possessed, he wasn't as good as doing it.

Yes well Tracy testified he wanted to watch The Exorcist and he was moaning and rocking like a trance and Tracy was asking God to guide him out so if there was ever a situation to believe in demonic possession and spiritual warfare I think he's a good example of it. Another one worked his way up getting desensitized with animals first then just developed a total compulsion he had a boring job at a factory but Ted Bundy and some other ones throw away good careers and relationships like a gambling or drug habit they just can't stop let it ruin their whole life too. Loved horror movies wanted to live one. The Exorcist was inspiring for him like violent porn was for Ted Bundy he had demons too I think.

Exactly….his father seems like a satanic/masonic handler….guaranteed he suffered trauma as a kid and through certain techniques, you can use certain words, numbers, etc to get someone to completely lose memory of that trauma, and is used to cause people to go into a “possessed “state…..most of the politicians, etc are satanic cowards

Decades of alcohol addiction can mess up anyone's brain, and his mind was likely different to begin with, and then his circumstances were not really conducive to helping him overcome his addiction and strange fetishes. He never got the right help at the right time, it took years for this mania to unfold.
