Schilke was the Head Engineer for Arrow Dynamics/S&S Worldwide who's list of accomplishments includes everything from Road Runner Express at Six Flags Fiesta Texas to Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood to X/X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain. He's now the Design Engineer for Rocky Mountain Construction and the man that created Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City, Iron Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Medusa Steel Coaster at Six Flags Mexico, Goliath at Six Flags Great America as well as Twisted Colossus at Six Flag Magic Mountain and New Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas.
Six Flags New England is located north of Hartford, Connecticut near Springfield in Agawam, Massachusetts.

You can easily tell Alan loves doing what he does and the creations he makes. Every time a train passes, he can't help but look with a smile on his face. Can you blame him?

He is kind of the legal heir to Werner Stengel. If Werner is "God father", Alan may become "God son" one day :)

Just another reason I hate you CP fanboys. You think anything that happens in the industry means Cedar Point is getting something. Grow up.

InsaneCoasterFreak Your vitriol is unwarranted, and my comment was a lighthearted joke. Perhaps it's you that has growing up to do.

Even if it was to happen, I wonder if they will try to make it different from Texas giant since Texas giant and mean streak have very similar track layouts

ninguno incógnito I'm sure they'd want to differentiate it if RMC were to happen. I could see a new layout using topper track so that it remains a wooden coaster.

CoasterMac305 Yes you should really hate this CP Fanboy because he predicted a ride 2 years before it was announced

Didn't Alan design X2/X and other arrow coasters
@bedholm6131
@bedholm6131 9 жыл бұрын
yugioh guy yes he was a part of arrow during it's final years and designed much smoother rides as he said in an interview that the way arrow did many of their elements could have been done much better.

Next interview, ask him if he has an exclusive with Six Flags. That will tell us if Cedar Fair or Holiday World even has a shot to get him. You could also ask if he ever has plans to join each side of the track with a middle spine, then he could use single pole supports like a B&M coaster. You may say what does this matter? Can you imagine if he built a 200 foot tall coaster that starts with a quad down?

PastTime777 According to rmc they dont have an exclusive with six flags.

Well they're starting Raptor track in 2018 and that only needs 1 support. I know your comment is two years old

I know this comment was 3 yrs ago, but looks like he was able to design a 205 ft. coaster without needing a middle spine and single pole supports. Steel Vengeance!!

Let's say I were to ask b&m for a new coaster. Could I tell them what I want in the coaster (ex: amount of g's, budget, type of coaster) or do they design everything for me?

I think you as the park tell to the manufacturer what you want, so they try to make it for you.

@Smoovey

Or perhaps the park owner reaches out to different designers, they pitch their ideas and blueprint models, and the park owner makes the decision. Once the manufacturer is chosen then tweaks are most likely made especially when considering the park's land layout, etc. I'm sure each park owner and manufacturer has their own way of doing business though and under their discretion.
