I am aware they also sell a torch, but at the same, it was unavailable but i have since purchased that as well. Laser is still pretty epic though...

Yes, this spider three is really cool. It has a password protection so you press the button until all three lights light up on the batterie indicator area plus there is different lenses that you can use with a spider three when it does a line effect, a cross effect, a galaxy effect, there’s a focusing lens, a flash, light affect, and a flood light effect. It comes standard with a training lens which reduces the power by 50% But when removing a training lens and adding the standard lens the arctic spider, three imposter highest power possible. Never shine it directly at any living thing and and avoid looking at even the reflected beam. This one watt beam can char, burn, and ignite materials so use with caution
@redstonecommander5190

It also has an FDA complaint endcap which features a safety interlock. Once that is removed, the laser can’t be turned on. There’s different modes you can choose from low power, strobe, low power, constant wave, maximum power, constant wave, maximum power strobe and then a hibernation mode

Dude, I own the exact same laser. WARNING: Do not point let anyone see you point that thing outside at all. I know it takes the fun away from it, but trust me that thing could land you in serious trouble one day. Unlike those cheap laser pointers (which are still dangerous) that is a class 4 laser product which is the most hazardous laser class.

Only thing I'd ever use a laser like that for would be on the end of a survival rifle. That way it hopefully wouldn't burn anyone's retinas out that wasn't someone trying to kill me, and it'd make a great survival tool for starting fires and signaling for help to aircraft and ships.
@nitrocell9287
@nitrocell9287 2 жыл бұрын
This thing serves no real purpose not even for a survival tool, Its huge and starts a fire as slow as a magnifying glass would and how long until the batteries are no longer strong enough. As for signaling aircraft or ships and from what an island lol and only at night and only if you didn't drain the batteries trying to start fires. Imagine using your flare gun to make your campfire lol ide rather have a lighter and a flare gun... I mean there are lasers just as bright that wont burn your eyeball out and nobody thought that would be a good survival signaling device. Have you ever heard about someone being rescued because they had a laser? lol

Hi, An absolutely excellent video thanks !!! Well done ! Just one question. your video title states 3.5 watts, but the Yellow label you show says 5000mw - or 5.0 watts ? I have just ordered the very same laser ( I HOPE ) from a guy on Ebay who claims it is a 3.0 watt laser, and the photo of his Yellow label says 3000mw. I have "sort-of" deduced this laser came in 3 versions 1 watt /2 watt / and 3.5 watt, so I am puzzled as to what I have ACTUALLY bought ? ! Perhaps you could clarify this for me please ??? THANKS !!!

Hey! Thank you! Yes the laser was a 3.5w the label I believe was generic. Absolutely, laser came in 3 models but they stopped producing the 3.5w and I believe I took the last batch of production. Check the mini booklet when you get the laser and it will will give you the spec with a corresponding serial number as to the output. Hope this helps!

Lee Wade unfortunately it didn't come with a focusing lens. The lens unscrews, but only for replacing with the phosphorce lens. I haven't done a power test but a friend of mine also has an Arctic laser, but it doesn't burn like this one does...
@Fitnessfreakshowz
@Fitnessfreakshowz 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Lee, unfortunately, the lens is not focusable, its literally just an additional lens that can be removed to place the phosphorce lens onto it instead. Would be handy if you could focus it with the lens. However, if you use a magnifying glass, you will be able to focus the energy, then it really becomes special.....

Hi Sonny! Yes, the labels can be very misleading..I have been informed that the company actually stopped producing the 3.5w around the same time I purchased this one. It may of even been one of the last batches produced..I have seen them on eBay, but the only way to know if you are getting a genuine 3.5w is to test the output with a laser power metre. Gentec are very good, and this is what I purchased when I bought my laser..other than that, you would have to take the sellers word for it. Good luck!

@@Fitnessfreakshowz thanks for the info. Yeah I saw they stopped producing that one. It’s just some people who sell them second hand don’t know the wattage. Would the label say
@Fitnessfreakshowz
@Fitnessfreakshowz 3 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily..I was lucky to get a laser with a higher maximum output then the manual had recorded, but it should say as a minimum that the 'laser power' is 3500mW. The laser should come with a certified label and corresponding serial number to prove the output. Failing that, it's a case of taking the sellers word for it.

The Lux output is the measurement of light that strike singular point, of which, 72761 meters can be covered, at full power and for a brief period of time, But the NOHD (Nominal Ocular Hazard Distance) is 279 meters. There are many discrepancies with the output figures, but the manual seems to be more accurate.

@Fitnessfreakshowz
@Fitnessfreakshowz 7 жыл бұрын
dhruv shilender hello mate, my laser took about 2 months to arrive and was actually shipped from China. The company itself is American, but they are shipped from Asia. Your laser will have to clear customs and due to the fact its basically classed as a weapon, this could take 3 months easy. The expected lifetime is 5,000 hours, but if you remove the battery when you are not using it, and keep the laser at room temperature, this laser can last twice as long.

Exactly, you should be fine with it. Had my laser nearly 2 years now, and its faultless. It will last about 10 minutes on full power with continuess use, which is very good. Nathan Alexander. The FDA does not allow shipment of laser pointers above 5 milliwatt, not 5000 milliwatt, 5000 milliwatt is 5 Watts, which is a thousand times more powerful than what the FDA allows for pointers, but they can get around this by putting a locking mechanism on the device, or classifying it as a laser module, laser modules are not regulated by the FDA at all, you can buy those at pretty much any power you want, you can even get them on Amazon, I just bought a 3 watt (3000milliwatt) laser module there for about 70 bucks, and it was high quality machined aluminum heatsink and fan, and it will burn things instantly, and light things on fire if you focus it, with the built-in focusing lens. Just make sure if you go to Amazon, type in laser module, or they will not show up. Hope that clears some things up.

Jimmy Kandakji it could well possibly be. But at the time of production, this was the most powerful handheld laser. I am sure things have changed, but I challenge anyone to find a handheld laser that reaches 4.1W from a more reputable company.

Bro im super sceptical now adnan scared by wear the goggles at all times I will when I get mine but by blindNess is it looking at the beam say you point it at a wall and look at it youlle get blind and if it bounces of white paper or whatever im sceptical what will get you blind did you mean the beam hitting your eye or the beam hitting something else and you just looking at it

Hello mate, following the line of sight without glasses is OK, but i still would not recommend it. Looking at the point of focus without glasses would be very silly. The glasses are provided to protect your eyes. I have once or twice made the mistake of looking at the point of focus without glasses when doing tests, and it leaves a lingering pain in the head. Very simple. Just wear the glasses if you want to keep your retinas.

Divergence at that range doesn't seem very good.

It isn't great, however I found using a magnifying glass to recorrect the beam enhances the divergence drastically.

I can't believe that something this dangerous is available to the general public. The amount of harm some irresponsible or malicious person could do with something like this...

I could buy a knife for 10 bucks and do a lot more damage than I could with a laser pointer. What are you 12?

If someone points a laser at my car, let's say a seat that is easily flammable, can it fire, and from what distance does it have to fire the laser through the glass on the car. Thank you
