Glinda, who usually sings a higher octave, and Elphaba who usually does the opposite, switch octavesfor this song to symbolize the impact they've had on each other.

Exactly. Look at the top 11 shows they all have great stories and amazing casts even when they rotate out they are still amazing. Same with Greif always putting up amazing social shows over and over again

One of my favorite things about this duet is the actresses often break or release their character and just sing it to one another. And their chemistry speaks for itself.

I love how Alyssa looks at McKenzie in the beginning of the song. It almost feels like they’re friends in real life and have that deep respect for one another! 🥰 Great voices! Congratulations to Wicked for 20 years! Great picks for Elphaba and Glinda to commemorate such a milestone!

The crazy thing is they are! They played the last two frozen shows on broadway as anna and elsa before the shutdown . Kenzie said in an interview that this 20th anniversary wicked experience is extra special doing it with alyssa because they feel like they get to finish an unfinished chapter of their lives.

How amazing. Some Elphabas play Elsas later on, like Idina Menzel, Caissie Levy and Caroline Baldwin. Now, two actors who have previously played Elsa and Anna play Elphaba and Glinda for the 20th anniversary. Alyssa Fox and McKenzie Kurtz sang this song so beautifully.

McKenzie is gorgeous omg! She truly embodies everything Glinda actually is (a stereotypical beautiful, popular, blonde girl). And Alyssa may just be my favourite Elphaba! She makes it look SO effortless 💚💖

Wow! No matter what, the tears start as the first piano notes are struck, and I see the way that Alyssa gazes at McKenzie. From there, as they deliver what may be the most gorgeous song in musical theatre history, and exchange looks, and facial expressions that SPEAK VOLUMES as they sing, my tears build. What singers. What actors. WHAT FEELING!
