This is the most impressive lens I've ever seen under $500. I'd love to see some reportage with it. Like, if you're in the middle of a crowd, what could you get with it? Super interesting and great review!

All of your vids are super helpful. I’m grateful for these lenses as they’re pretty much all that’s available for RF mount since autofocus etc is banned by Canon.

Just received mine, and had a first "play" with it after it had warmed up from being in a delivery van. Looks promising, the results from interior shots look good, as do the landscape ones in the field at the back of my house (luckily some interesting clouds about). I intend to use it mostly for architectural interiors, then for certain landscapes. I got an obvious sunstar, but no real flare, when I shot straight into the sun through a tree. Using it on a Sony A1, and A7rii.

Comparing your review of the LAOWA 9MM 5.6 FF-RL. You've improved tremendously since than and the quality of your work reflects that in this review. Would you mind elaborating a bit more on how this lens is better than the Laowa?

Practice makes perfect. Thank you! I think this lens renders the images better than Laowa. Images taken with Laowa need more post processing in my opinion.

Why is it better than Laowa's? They look identical and Laowa's is even 3 degrees wider, a few grams lighter, has a closer focusing distance and they offer a filter holder. Also I wonder why they made a 5.6 lens because they mainly compete with price against Laowa now. I think people would like a 2.8 or at least 4.0 lens, even if it was more expensive and larger.

I think it renders the images better than Laowa. Images taken with Laowa need more post processing in my opinion. I think producing cost of f2.8 or f4 lens would also be much higher, not only its size and weight

What a joke of a lens, it's with a dated slow F5.6. Where f2.8? And if many beginners are lost the depth of field scale (1:35) has been compressed so much. Just buy used wide angel lenses beyond 36 years & save

it's not a joke. It's f5.6, not everyone shoots everything at f2.8 Good luck finding 36 year old 9mm anyway

@@PavSZ I guess you never met ATG & Nikon. ATG made many rare lenses. I have ATG 6/2.0 (1 stop faster) & two ATG's Nikon 6/2.8. If you jumped into Canon systems, ATG's 1200/5.0 & ATG/Canon 1200/5.6. No cheap.
