He was two sets down and playing against a much younger player not to mention that he had taken a 6 months gap before this. Also he recovered from covid in December. It also shows a hell of a lot of courage, fight, mental strength, grit, determination and above all the hard work and discipline that he has put in. Amazing to have come back from surgeries, then covid just a month ago and then to win these marathon matches back to back, sustain himself for 4-5hours under such heat playing the sport he is so passionate about speaks volumes of his character. I almost dropped my whole body from the chair after his winning return!! Honestly I almost surrendered especially the predictor saying only 30% for Nadal which is probably correct at the time given the way he played in the previous games.
