Oh, and sorry about the double comment, but the Omnic that was speaking in the beginning was Mondatta, the leader of the monks that studied in Nepal. One of those monks was Zenyatta, who was one of Mondatta's students. As an extra tidbit, Zenyatta was actually the one to trained Genji after he was rebuilt, teaching him how to handle his feelings and how to fight.

Ahhhh okay. I had just recently learned that Zen helped Genji controlled his emotions. There’s a voice line where Zen is talking to Genji goes “the apprentice becomes the master” and it made me curious so I looked it up. Love the lore of this game. Also, nerf Genji lol

Yea I’m glad I did the extra digging. I remember reading that she was thinking about how alive she felt after she unalived her husband. Makes you think how much of it is actually brainwashing
