A year already with the AT. How time flies when you're having fun. Lucky you with a missus that likes riding or maybe that could be a hindrance sometimes, ha ha. I'll be interested to see how you go solo camping. When I see others going solo, because there is nobody else to have a chin wag with, they're in bed by 8. I think I would have to have company to go camping just for the laugh factor when sitting around talking about the ride etc.

Getting out with a mate was awesome, we had a cracking night by the fire. But the solo thing has always intregued me! It'll be different that's for sure!

Thanks guys!! Will have to catch up for sure! It's not often the wife and I get out together but we have a blast when we do!! First priority is to get the Sena sorted out for her! We're so lucky to have some outstanding riding locations around NSW, feel pretty spoilt! Subbed as well!

Hey Brett, love the vids! I just bought the 2023 Africa Twin Adventure Sports ... my wife feels the pillion is very comfortable so all good. A while back you mentioned your Hepko and Becker upper crash / tank bars. I've just attempted to install them also but... the left hand side tank guard is displaced out further from the tank by approx 10mm. (further than the right side). Looking down to the bottom engine mount is also displaced by design appox 10mm further out than the right side. Did you find this problem? Cheers Jeff

Hey Jeff, I had a mate of mine help and we just used a lot of brut force as well as keeping everything quite loose until everything came together. It was quite fiddly but once in and secured you can see how solid they are. Where did you purchase them from, have they also offered any support yet?

@@ADVBrett purchased from Motorcycle Adventure Products, I've only just sent them off an enquiry. They are under the impression, and probably rightly so, that the new 23 is exactly the same as the 22 model. I'll hopefully get a response of some form from them shortly. I didn't really have to use much force at all, I left it all loose until the end but even the top cockpit mount doesn't seem to be completely aligned. If I look at the front of the bike down to the bottom front engine mount I can clearly see the left side (in ride direction is 10mm further out. That would be the 10mm nut side if you followed the instruction to the T. Cheers

Both MAO and Hepco & Becker are great with the support, it's certainly not the easiest thing I've ever put together! I can't see any reason why the 2022 and 2023 models would be different, they should be exactly the same frame and mounts. Might be worth dropping Honda an email as well. Call the guys at MAP though, they're great with the after sales support!
