I've seen Wilbur Snyder wrestle in Indianapolis with Dick Bruiser in the 70's when I was a kid. Angelo's kids, Macho Man Randy Savage was fantastic and Lanny Poffo was ok.

Angelo Poffo was the Macho Man and the Genius’s father. It’s nice that good old wrestling can be seen! It was a given that Snyder was going to win this match.

Wilbur synder should be in the wrestling observer hall of fame..hands down and wwe hall of fame..if you liked randy savage , or ricky steamboat... Snyder.. was both of them

I started watching Wilbers stuff because of J.R. talking about how he invented the abdominal clutch. Wilber didn't seem to subscribe to the idea that less was more compared to a lot of guys from this era. Just my opinion but a twenty minute headlock is kinda dull. I think Wilber would have agreed

Of course Snyder along with Dick The Bruiser and Jim Barnett would run the Indianapolis territory for a number of years, morphing into the WWA which would hold membership in both the AWA as well as the NWA, which offered them great flexibility in bringing in talent to the promotion....
