Wild Arctic at SeaWorld Orlando
At Base Station Wild Arctic you enter a Arctic research station built around sailing ships that have become trapped in ice.
This two level building gives you views of a mixed seal & beluga whale habitat, Harbor Seal Habitat and finally the entertaining walrus family.

I just went two weeks ago and this was the only animal exhibit we didn't get to see . For some reason we could not find where this exhibit was located ! Really disappointing but we had a nice time. Before planning your visit please be aware somethings are close.

It's in a very tricky location of the park and since the main ride has been closed for awhile now. You actually have to enter the exhibit at the back part of the shop, hopefully you get to visit again and see it, it's a very beautiful ad well themed exhibit.

I agree! seaworld did a great job building wild arctic. I hope they can get polar bears again one day.

Really nice in terms of very close and energetic animals. It's pretty effin cold here (almost below freezing) and watching this made my spin shiver even more xD

I don't miss winters, lol. The opening part with the beluga can get cold but Its a very nice place to escape from our hotter afternoons. Hopefully polar bears will come back one day.

I think remember way back on one of my visitations they had a polar bear which Is no more right?

That is correct, the polar bear Klondike was in where the harbor seals have their own tank. He passed away a few years ago.

Unfortunately they passed away a few years ago. I've asked bit they said they have no plans of bringing them back

I believe Klondike passed in 2013 and Johnny in 2014, if memory serves correctly.

I guess the ride is closed now but atleast the animal part is open

Yes the ride has not reopened since the park shut down. (I hope they reopen it at some point). Right now the ride entrance is a Santa meet and greet....would like to see them bring a polar bear back at some point.

@@ZoosTravelers ah yea I’m going next wendsday and all the indoor rides are closed and those are really the only ones that my brother can ride besides infinity falls that he can ride so it looks like I’m going to have to ride a water ride:/

They still have people waiting to walk through the queue line for Empire of the Penguins, might be one of the attractions you catch fairy early.....I go to Seaworld alot and I've yet to ride Infinity Falls, I will have to try that out at some point.

@@ZoosTravelers I have ridden infinity falls it’s a great ride it’s all by chance if you get super wet or barley wet and I have to take that chance when I go next week lol

Lol, thats better odds then the popeye ride at Islands of adventure. Everybody looks soaked coming off of that one. I do like the Kali River rapids at the animal kingdom
