Wild camping alone in the Galloway Hills is the ultimate ‘lone time’.
Not another person on the planet.
You can hike for hours, all day even and see no one.
In retrospect this maybe should have been an ASMR video …
I tested out, and LOVE, my new tent - the Nordisk Svalbard.
The Galloway hills can be described as lonely, but they might better be described as undisturbed.
Peaceful and without humans.
Or at least they are for now, the thunder of human activity can be heard in this area more and more, creeping ever closer. Further into the most remote and beautiful parts.
I aim to enjoy every solitary second of its peace and beauty … before it is lost forever.

Nice one Annie! That tent is a very nice piece of kit at a pretty sensible price. Loved that mat / lounger thing. Not bad when your flight's delayed either, eh? That morning view.... priceless. Great job, thanks for sharing 🤗🤗

Amazing video Annie, loved seeing the Chinook fly over. What a hike and Camp, the views are amazing up there. The view in the morning was incredible, we are so fortunate to have all this Galloway beauty on our doorstep. Did you ascend from black lock?

Yeah, parked at Black Loch and went up the forest road. I’m keen to camp on more of our hills this year. It’s such an adventure when you don’t know the routes and the paths are…er… not really paths 😅
