Join me and @GrizzlyGaz as we explore Bleaklow Moor in search of some plane crash sites. The B-29 Overexposed site is probably the most well-known on this area of the Peak District. We visited this site first up near Higher Shelf Stones, then carried on, down part of the Pennine Way to find the more secluded site of the Blenheim Mk.I L1476 wreckage.
After a decent 12 mile hike, we wild camped back near the trig point on Higher Shelf Stones with far-reaching views spanning from Kinder Scout, all the way across to the city lights of Manchester.
I was in my Wild Country Helm 1, and Gaz had his Vango Starve 200 (EXPERIENCE don’t ya know!). We both had matching Light Tour sleep mats (ahhhhh cute) and ‘same-but-different’ down quilts.
Obviously we had loads of fun and banter along the way, so come along!
