At the end of Aerial attack. When your stamina get low and still mid air, use Square(× for xbox) to fall spin attack and restart the tripple extension combo. You can also relaunch in the air before final attack as your stamina will have regen a little and almost go infinite bonk. So it goes Square(×)>extend(rb)>Triangle(y)>extend>Triangle>extend>(repeat)>(stamina almost low)Square(x)>extend(rb)>square(x)>extend(rb)> {either big bonk or go back in the air} Aerial damage and stamina talisman are going to be your best friend.

oi Ruri, just trying out the hammer for fun. one move i found for the spin to win is if you do the basic attack twice, after you can go into spin and regardless of your stamina you will get the big bonk.

When I saw all the weapons before release, I thought the wagasa and the staff would be the most interesting weapons. After playing around with everything though, the maul and the claw blades just feel way better than any other weapon type, so I've been sticking with them.

I already thought this weapon was really fun (Monster hunter hammer and switch axe nerd,) but after seeing this video, I was really able to unlock its potential and increased its damage and how to early finish and when to cancel which has saved me from plenty of KO's. Thank you for this video.

This game is so insanely fun. I really enjoy it. And i have upgraded my pc heavily last year so i dont even have any performance issues even now when it seems to barely work for many people.

yo tried the helicopter karakuri with the hand canon and its a completely game changer, not only lets you shoot from the air but with Y shoots like twice as fast while the drop auto attack leaps you forward and does a big single shot that lets you connect it with the R2+Y attack almost at full gauge. Which then you can charge the beam attack. Now combine all that with the huge wall fusion karakuri you can run in to it then jump, then use the helicopter, and shoot your full charge in the air, lm telling you the wall karakuri is broken, enemies just ram in to it and topple themselves every time. Also a nice tip when you get the Heavenly Canon you can shoot through it while it works as an almost unbreakable wall. Been having so much fun lol and l dont even like guns in hack and slash games but its just too effective against most of the enemies... you can even cheese the big ape and the huge ass peacock boss. So anyways thanks for the glider tip l wasnt aware at all you could attack while gliding!

Maul is so satisfying to land.

You can spam a bunch of hits in if you’re elemental build, if you (Xbox) xxy into xy xy xy as many times as you like. Then just extend after y into x extend x extend for overhead finisher or you could extend to trigger to spin and then release for finisher

one thing I would add is celestial thread if you have it gives you alot of mobility for Maul allowing you to zip in/out of trouble.

This was the last weapon I thought I'd enjoy out of the bunch. I've loved using the katana due to aesthetic, the bladed wagasa due to the satisfying ticks, the hand cannon to go hame kami ha and the claw blade to be captain Levi. I touched the bow and staff and they can be enjoyable but not for me. I avoided the maul and nodachi cause I typically don't like heavy alow things but dang I love it. I still love the bladed wagasa second but the parry can be frustrating.

Stake jump attack. Is it jump then power smash or jump then aerial. Im on PC. And is there a best maul out there or we just change according to element.

1. Some mauls have more than blunt damage type 2. I presume like mhw, if you're in a party, the maul always should go for the head 3. If the maul is pure blunt type, can it cut tails?

I play monster under all the time yet I seem to eat shit in this game CONSTANTLY I just got my ass beat by a chicken because I can't seem to dodge through attacks. Is there something I'm missing here or what

I have played a lot with the maul, but mostly just the mega bonk combo. I feel like the spinning ground attack does such little damage, but I wonder how useful it would be to apply elemental effects. I don’t know exactly how they work, whether every hit gives a certain amount of build up or if bigger hits give more, but a torch animation cancel into a spin to win could be good.

I have the see a single hunter with this weapon, is probably, alongside Nodachi, the least play weapon :P, which is sad cuz it look so cool, and is a bit dipper and complex than most weapons

You're using the hammer wrong use your x then continue attack then y then continue attack then X and you can just chain them back-and-forth and finish with the X finisher whenever you want Every hit will do a 100 plus and you'll be flying around the monster like a madman

So the stamina gauge is the little orange gauge next to the character? The invisible one? Nevermind I see it
