Kemono are beasts that have undergone a unique evolution by fusing with their environments, and that wield the power of nature to reshape their environment to suit their needs. You will encounter Kemono of all sizes - from plant infused squirrels to the massive Kingtusk wild boar, or the Deathstalker savage wolf and many more creatures. These enormous creatures use the power of nature itself to defend their new territory.
The ancient Karakuri technology enables you to craft and build new, highly ﬂexible and creative hunting grounds to take down giant Kemono. Stock up on materials to build many kinds of Karakuri, depending upon your needs, skills, and which Kemono you are ﬁghting. Every new Kemono you defeat unveils new Karakuri and new resources to use.
WILD HEARTS’ co-op and crossplay features allow you and up to two friends to hunt down Kemono together. Pack hunting enables you to expand your battle plans with more building capabilities and special missions. As a lone wolf, you can seamlessly join in and help other hunters in multiplayer mode through the Hunter Gate system, or you can take on the giant beasts on your own.
You can become the greatest hunter by gathering materials from each hunt and the environment, and craft unique sets of armor with different variations. With unique weapons to choose from, and tons of variations, there’s a combat style for everyone, each with different gameplay pace and attacks. You can craft gear with the material of defeated Kemono, further customizing it to suit your play style.
Immerse yourself in beautiful environments littered with structures that represent everyday village life, faith, and warfare, now swallowed up by nature. WILD HEARTS’ four hunting grounds - each representing the different seasons - are brought to life by the game’s gorgeous feudal Japanese setting, allowing you to take in the beauty of Harugasumi way ﬂowery terrain (Spring), Natsukodachi Isle’s waterfall surrounded by the sea (Summer), Akikure Canyon’s natural landscape covered in fall leaves (Fall) and the split in half Frozen Moon Castle in Fuyufusagi Fort(Winter) - all accessible from the city of Minato.

The hidden gem no one is talking about... This game is actually looking fantastic! Open world monster hunter with a splash of base building, it feels like the game we didn't even know we needed. I'll look most forward to diving into this later in the week 👌

I tried MHW but somehow it just didn’t jell with me at that time. I should probably give it another go. But this does seem more like my style, so I’m definitely considering getting this!

The building system is really what locked it in for me. It's so fun and creative. Ziplines all over the map like death stranding. Love this game!! Really hope they improve ps5 performance and resolution

Yeah remember you can demolish them too and rebuild them. The more of the map you open up the more spots will jump out at you

I pet the first animal, and didn't even know it mattered 😂 just thought he was cute. Here's a question (just started tonight) - those bunny things he said we can pet charge at you early in the game...are you able to just pet them? I auto-murdered those poor things 😅 I think you have to sneak up to them to pet them - is that correct?

I just did the free trial. You get “ten hours” to play but you can only do 3 story missions and fight like 3 monsters. Once you complete the third mission you will reach the gates of Minato then you have to purchase the full game to continue progressing. I enjoyed my time with it, I was left wanting more. I fought king tusk, knocking him over by constructing the barricade and then going ham on him with the whip sword was really satisfying

I've played Monster Hunter since the first game on PS2. This has been a refreshing and excellent alternative to the series. I'm having a blast with this game.

seems like 2023 has sum banger titles very early, i rly enjoyed ur vids on this game , very informational !! couple Questions: do your buildings stay permanent on those maps or do you have to rebuild every time you load in or quit the game, and how would that go if you join multiplayer? also this game has an endless inventory or? (i hate when games give you very limited bags :D)

You can use the flame torch for weapon as spring if you spawn 2 fast and on top of each other. A jump attack with flame buff is good and easy to spam.

You can travel farther by glider if as soon as you start going down jump off of the glider and conjure another one immediately just make sure you have enough threads

Yeah this game looks sick. Was really worried by the lack of demo but everything looks great so far. As an Insect Glaive main i think the umbrella looks like a ton of fun.

This game is super fun and definitely has its own identity compared to Monster Hunter. I hope the devs put a good chunk of resources into optimizations and future DLC. The fact that it's cross play is a huge win alone. They nailed the hunts, now they just need to refine and optimize everything else.

You can also power up the dragon pits from the map, you don’t need to manually go to each one in person. I thought that was really handy dandy.

Quick question for the armor, you see for example it says -3 > -5 does that mean your resistance to fire attacks is weaker? or stronger? Also when it comes to getting materials I noticed some say the kemonos name. Does that mean I have to kill it again? or just hunt it and cut off a specific part?

If it reads red, you got weaker. But if it reads green, you got stronger. And if you hover over that said upgrade and press pad on pa5, it’ll show you the name and how you get that said material

I know for sure there's gonna be some sort of layered armor system, but has it been confirmed to be at launch? Or, are we waiting for a later date? Although, I'm still a bit confused as to how the human/kemono armor system work. Are the skills connected to the individual pieces of armor? Or, is it more akin to Nioh, where the skills are only active when you met a threshold on the human or kemono bar?

If you have trouble on a monster you can join a game from your camp fire. If no game is found then it asks if you want to host. People join within seconds. You can continue playing in your session after you kill said boss. There’s also “assists” count for one boss then kicks everyone back to their own game.

Ok I doubt he will see my comment but I’m almost done with his Elden ring walkthrough and I want to know his favorite game I should play next. I haven’t played any demon souls or this game and actually I’m kinda just getting into major gaming in my 30’s 😂 my parents banned video games growing up and I was working far too much in my 20’s. So if anyone had recommendations of the best next game please let me know. Im debating this or demon souls or hopefully Diablo 4 (but I’ve never played any Diablo) 4 look amazing though.

As an ER veteran this game is tough because the dodging isn't the same and the bosses have very odd tells for attacking. Struggling my way through with those old habits but still excited !

Issues i have seen first hand during the demo on series x is audio bugs doing quests (overlapping chat). Some visual bugs especially in darker areas of the map. I haven’t gotten stuck yet so that’s a plus. Sometimes when placing crates really fast it won’t connect sometimes or stack. Unsure how it is on ps or pc

Is it just me or is this game much harder than any of the Monster Hunter game this early? I only played World and Rise, but I can not remember a 1 star monster give me this much trouble than the raven like creature in the first area. He does 70% of my HP, with new armor, and the first time I died right be for the time was out, and last time I rage quit, because had 50% HP when he did a 70% hp attack. I have no idea how to beat this thing. So many attack this hard to dodge, and it's hard to make the jump pads before he attack. Maybe I need to change weapon to a bow or something. 1 star and 2 star monsters suppose to be this hard? The 2 star big boar looking thing litterly one shotted me with it's first attack. Maybe I should continue the story, and go to the new island, maybe I will get gear to beat them.

another game I don't have the time to enjoy...still have the last 10% of Elden Ring to finish, The Last of Us Part 1, Horizon Forbidden West and Dead Space all still in plastic...and that's just on PS5...got maybe 5% into Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Tatics Orge Reborn on the Switch...and that's just "recently"...I WILL be finishing the RE4 remake though even if it leaves me forlorn and maidenless

@MrZesky I work 12 hours a day, sometimes 7 days a week...usually at least 5 or 6...a mix of day shifts and nights shifts at that...I have plenty of time there to watch KZfaq, movies, TV shows, whatever I want...but I can't very well bring my 55" TV and ps5 to work every day, pretty sure I wouldn't have a job for very long...

Looks cool and all, but what's going on with the optimization? I see it has a MOSTLY NEGATIVE review (3k+) in Steam. I can't say I've seen a lot of mostly negative games in Steam.
