One of my favorite experiences at the Mobile Hunters EXPO was meeting Justin with Wild Line Ropes! It is really amazing to hear the experiences that lead to the innovation of products that just simply… make sense! I spoke to him a few days before the show and he gave me a couple of hints on what he was going to be releasing during the show. Some of which I had my fingers and toes crossed for, but he had some tricks up his sleeve…
I was first introduced to him and his company when he released the Featherlite Linesman Belt, a 5mm linesman rope with his own WLR hitch installed(WHICH IS AWESOME BTW!!!). Reducing bulk is always a huge goal with us mobile hunters, and cutting out metal gear is definitely a plus, as long as we don’t sacrifice safety! But what if you can do both?!?

I use his featherlite lineman and tether. I won’t use anyone else. He is very serious about his stuff. Great dude!

Yes sir, I 100% agree! I grabbed the Featherlight tether from him at the show. Just awesome as the linesman in my opinion.

How can you get your tether down after you rappel?

So you recommended 15 to 1 safety rate ratio, sounds good on the feather light lineman rope what does it work out to in pounds at 15 to 1 for weight capacity? And 10 to 1 what is the maximum weight capacity?

Maximum Breaking strength of the featherlite linesman is 2,800 pounds. And the featherlite tether is 4,000 pounds. On 250lb person that would be 11.2 to 1 on the linesman and 16 to 1 on the tether.
