Congratulations on finding the Taiwan patch, that's really cool! I believe all Taiwanese are looking forward to you traveling to Taiwan again! The night market there is so big, clean and attractive! Every stall looks beautiful, and some are very artistic! That pizza looks like the one sold in Naples, Italy, it’s delicious! Thank you for sharing Cambodia’s beautiful evening, you are awesome! 👍🥰👏

I am Cambodian and was there twice last year. Cambodia is very picky on USA dollars especially on the 100 dollar bills. It can not have any fold or mark or spot on it. The central Cambodia bank is very picky, the vendor was not, and they apologize and they have to follow the rules. It is an adjustment because it is fine in the USA for those dollars lol!

Such a stark difference between laos and Cambodia. Crazy to think they are both considered LDC and curious why they only take some USD notes...?. Thanks again for always uploading such great content from countries I've never seen, love discovering all these new places.

Hey Zane, Hanuman is the Hindu god that sided with Lord Ram and defeated the Demon King Ravan. I am shocked to see Hanuman in Cambodia. In India Hanuman is the most powerful god who is worshiped when you need the strength and protection and good luck. He is revered a lot in India.
@remhk6672

Cambodia was notably Hindu in ancient times. How is that shocking? And yes, hanuman is worshipped the same way in cambodia. We also still worship Shiva, vishnu, ganesha, etc.

If you go to BRED bank in SR main branch and use the ATM, if you get bad money you can go into the bank and exchange money for good money. I did it many times. Bills must be perfect. Good luck🙂

Bro just went to a foreign country carrying bank notes from the 1st century. The thing is that foreign exchange commissions in some countries are trying to make excuses and create issues out of thin air to exchange currency for the lowest price possible. If vendors accept these bank notes from you then they won't be able to sell them later.
@cocomojo1858
@cocomojo1858 Ай бұрын
Because There are not tight rules regarding these things so the exchange commissions are finding loop holes in the system. So it's better to try carrying the newest notes possible notes so they won't have any excuse to rob you during exchange.

All this haggling l is exactly the reason why I don't go there. Rather buy a shirt in a Khmer shop, you pay 1 or 2 dollar without having to haggle

What I found in Cambodia is that you end up with children at market stalls adjudicating whether your USD is acceptable or not. The only stress-free strategy for Cambodia is to bring new, crisp 20s/50s and exchange them at a currency exchange for riels. This avoids all the f**kery involved with using USD for daily purchases: pay for purchases in riels only. Although I loved Siem Reap, I found Viet Nam and northern Thailand more accommodating to visitors: just get the local currency. Any additional money I need while traveling I to an ATM attached to aa branch of the ABA bank during banking hours using my WISE account card. If something bad happens at least you can speak to someone at the bank to remedy the situation. I have encountered people who rely on their WISE account almost exclusively when traveling. Cambodian government is desperate for tourists but do little to encourage them such as restricted use of USD and single entry visas.

I spent six months over there in Thailand and Cambodia. In the street markets haggling is expected and part of the culture. You only pay full price in regular western type stores. If you pay the first offered price without haggling and trying to get a better deal, as soon as you gone the merchant will be laughing and joking with the merchant in the next little booth about the “…stupid rich western tourist actually paid full price. Didn’t even try to talk me down ha, ha, ha. Idiot …”. Go to a big fruit and vegetable and meat and fish and clothing and supplies market where the LOCALS shop….like Phsar Leu Market for example…. and you will see the Khmer people haggling over prices all day long. It’s part of their way of life. Namo Buddhaya. 🙏🏼 ☸️ 🇰🇭 🇹🇭 🌴
