Welcome back, folks.
Our luck has finally ran out with the weather, and Alby really feels the pinch.
I really like this episode, because, above all, it shows that we are a Brotherhood. I say "we" as bikers. The motorcycle community. We take the mickey out of each other and laugh at each other when one is struggling, and we get away with this because of the level of mutual respect we have for our fellow Brothers.
I think the main thing to take away from this episode is encapsulated in two, little, hyphenated words. GORE-TEX!

Norway, USA Atlantic way. What amazing footage, great editing and music, combining the right levels of motorbike sounds, speech and music and to top it all up a great bunch of guys. Cracking jokes and having fun. Egone the natural star of it all. Great stuff Richy. You're on a whole different level. No other vlogger that I know has reached this. And I've seen a few. Quality videos man! I moved to the UK in July 2017 and thanks to guys like you learned how to properly tour around Europe. Done Scotland and Ireland so far, and have mainland Europe tour in two weeks. Hopefully, we have another great summer!

Really enjoying these videos! This one reminds me of when Lynn and me almost drowned riding from Spean Bridge to Moffat via Glencoe in torrential rain for 4 hours!! The temperature was 9 degrees and this was August! All the joys of motorcycling.

There is only one textile suit that ever kept me perfectly dry. A Kushitani Gore-Tex jacket with removable down liner. It's not cheap, but still well worth it. No sure about their availability outside of Japan. Prior to that I had the Revit Sand with internal Hipora liner. What a joke in the rain! Water seeped in through the seems. Oh, and special mention to my old Aerostich jacket and pants. They kept you perfectly dry if you regularly applied the Nikwax. It's good that Gore will not allow their name on something that is not up to their standards.

Yep you lads were blessed with the weather at the start of your trip,3 weeks earlier we left home with wet gear on and didnt take it off till we got back,still had a great time tho.

Another great instalment, thanks Richy, it brightened up my Sunday night. One minute I'm watching Top Gear thinking how crap it is now (and tonight's was the best one I've seen recently) then this pops up and I'm saved! What's the psychology behind these videos? If someone wants to show you their holiday snaps you just don't want to know, but get a great tour video and I'm engrossed.

Don't try to scrub you tyres to the edge! I tried, was great fun, kept trying kept failing. One day touring through the Gorge d'lardeche in France a route I knew well as I'd done it 10 years previously (and is one of the best biking roads in the world) on a Blackbird, I found the edge, trouble was the tyres are designed to have more 'edge' than the bike. I lowsided, not fun. BTW, that was a gorge, to the left was a 2 - 300m drop and no barriers. My bike luckily slid and bounced off a low stone wall (i.e. about 2ft high), I say luckily as although the bike survived the 'rescue' expenses meant it was a right off. Only bike I've ever wrote off.

Have you ever tried Rain-X on your visor? It's brilliant stuff the water just clears. Just a thought as you tour a lot in all weathers.

@@paulo1787 Thanks very much for your feedback. Hopefully going back to the same place tomorrow. Got my motovlog mic setup working perfectly now. Tomorrows goal is recording the engine sounds and mixing it nicely with a chest view camera angle. Thanks again and I am going to binge watch all your videos tomorrow
