Wilder vs Duhaupas FULL FIGHT: Sept. 26, 2015 - PBC on NBC

8 жыл бұрынFull fight action between Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder and contender Johann Duhaupas in their PBC on NBC fight that took place on September 26, 2015.
This fight saw the Bronze Bomber completely destroy Duhaupas, but not without the Frenchman putting up a strong fight with an iron-chin and an iron-will.
Throughout the fight, Duhaupas endured a savage barrage of hits from the hometown favorite. In several rounds, it appeared as if the referee would stop the fight. As soon as it appeared it was over, Duhaupas kept on going like a savage beast and took punishment like no other opponent before him.
After the fight, Deontay’s hand was raised in victory as he held his daughter Naieya in his arms. Soon after, he walked around each corner of the ring holding up the arms of his opponent all smiles with good sportsmanship.
In the words of the victor: "Duhaupas did everything we expected him to do. We knew he was tough. We knew he was mentally tough. We knew he was going to come. That's why I tell people, 'You can't criticize anyone you don't know. The scariest people are the ones you don't know . They're the most dangerous ones.' He's got a hell of a chin too."

Forgetting Wilder's record built on taxi drivers for a min. im wondering whether this was the first guy to expose Wilder limits? Duhaupas was finding a home for a lot his punches, despite getting battered himself. Lots of pressure but seems Duhaupas didn't have the speed and power to drop Wilder

1st thing : Duhaupas took the fight only 2 weeks before. 2nd thing : Duhaupas made a war and a very good fight. 3d thing : They never gave him an other chance on a good card. Why ? That guy can be on the top of hw division !

But Povetkin, being the drug cheat that he is, was tested positive the day before the fight for SARMS, so Franklin pulled out as it was not recognised as a championship fight anymore. Duhaupas was contacted the night before the fight to be a backup fighter, had zero training camp, zero preparation and even zero boxing gear, mf was boxing in sneakers and a dollar store boxing short. It's a shame that Povetkin's roided ass could not end the fight in less than six rounds for real.

All those who say Wilder has no boxing technique ... watch that series of consecutive shots at the end, mixing it up, right, left, uppercut, shifting his weight, showing patience. And his jab is seriously underrated. He measures, measures, and, then, every few jabs, ouch! You think he can´t jab, ask his (defeated) 40 opponents if they agree. Yes, at times he goes ape s*** and he looks like a drunken hooligan out there, but by that time his man is usually going down anyway. Great fighter to watch.

Duhaupas may be a lesser opponent, but Wilder was very impressive against a tough, gritty opponent who took punishment. Wilder stayed composed, patient, consistent and even utilized a previously dormant body-shot technique. This is a very impressive fight, as Wilder grows into the quintessential heavyweight fighter.

Duhaupas recently just won the wbc silver title from unbeaten robert helenius, he's a hell of a fighter, Eric Molina also just beat Tomasz Adamek a very good fighter. People downplay wilder's recent fights but these men are far from bums

Kovalev outboxed? That decision was a daylight robbery, Kovalev won like 8 rounds and knocked Ward down bias US judges robbed him because he's Russian. Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant and also Roy Jones confirmed that. Ward is in denial thinking he won the fight, I hope Kovalev knocks him back into reality in the rematch.

He wouldn't have been successful because coaches make you robots and make you follow pure orthodox boxing techniques. Wilder's whole game plan is to set up and knock out. He is very unorthodox and has good punching power and he utilized that in his technique to become so successful.

Il encaisse les pires patates sans broncher. Tu vois qu'il est sonné mais il continue d'avancer. Un vrai guerrier. Et pour ceux qui critiqueront sa technique, le but dans les sports de combat c'est pas le style, c'est l'efficacité.

Nah he got as much praise as he deserved in the commentary, Wilder was doing SO MUCH MORE so there was so much more to say. Duhapas was eating shots and they mentioned that, he swole Wilders and they mentioned that, he had some good body attacks and they mentioned that. You forced it with they gave him ZERO credit though. Overall he was gettin fucked up, point blank period.

Yes, they did, and good for them. On the other hand, Wilder is a dick for strutting around the ring like a gay peacock, acting like it was a cakewalk with his face a swollen mess. He only noticed his opponent when he heard the crowd cheering as Johann quietly acknowledged the crowd, then made sure to haul him around the ring to grab some of the goodwill. Putz. Seeing this makes it even more special to watch Wilder get his ass handed to him by Fury repeatedly.

Neither can wilder take AJ's cleaner shots and stand still. It funny people talk about what wilder can do to aj but not vice versa. Wilder is also easy to hit n it will be gudnite for him too if aj connects with his chin.

This guy Duhaupas has an IRON chin and big heart. The amount of punishment he can take is immense. But he should have never been awarded a title shot. Cmon, this guy is barely top 50 fighter. P.S. I take my words back after seeying more of his fights. He's definitely top 20 fighter, really tough guy.

Recently, Duhaupas beat Robert Helenius in 6 rounds. First defeat for Helenius. Duhaupas is a top 20 fighter.

No Bermane Stiverne took way more punishment and yes both their chins were damaged goods afterwards. For Wilder it is better he knocks you out early than be in their with him all the way because he would put excessive mileage(equivalent to three fights) on you from just one fight! !

This was a BRUTAL yet BEAUTIFUL fight. WILDER was in an AWESOME RHYTHM and ZONE. This is one of my FAVORITE fights by WILDER! Because of DUHAUPAS' chin, it FORCED Wilder to BOX and SHOW his complete ARSENAL. ANYBODY who says Wilder can't BOX, is SADLY MISTAKEN.

Duhaupas.,.hats off.,.good defense,needs to throw more,twice more he wouldve closed both his eyes.,. i guess the ref had to stop it,not much coming back.,.don't know if he wouldve still been standing in the 12th ,just not enough head movement,walked in head 1st all night gloves defusing some of the power.. bit of a mis match.,.

yeah..many people underestimated Ruiz skills...he's a skilled counter puncher with quick hands!..He came into the fight with a plan, get in close and trade! They're going to rag on Wilder about his poor boxing skills, he does make alot of mistakes!..but that's what makes him unique!.. Wilder gets away with it because of his reflexes, speed and power!...He's alway going to have his opponents think twice about getting too close to that right hand!

Deontay has the equalizer! One punch can change the fight!.( Think of a Thomas Hearns in a heavyweight body!) ..Fury fought a smart fight!..and gain respect for surviving! But the problem with someone like Deontay, he won't let you get away with it a 2nd time! When Deontay has something to prove and is committed and motivated? He'll walk through your punches and deliver that equalizer, then it's lights out!

I loved to see him get creative and Mesmerizing Duhaus (sp), and then unload on him, while taking an angle to nullify any potential offense! I have a greater insight now into the champs arsenal!! Not usual for boxing, but it actually makes sense and can make the punch stronger. I don't know how to explain it, but think about tennis, when a tennis player makes a big swing and also gets off the ground with both feet. By that the momentum you put into that swing, goes all through your body and works kinda like a catapult.
