Wildlife at the Water Hole

After observing quite a bit of wildlife in the wash outside our patio I decided to dig a small shallow water hole. I lined it with a rubber pond liner and covered it with boulders to protect it from Javelinas. I installed a Covert Lte black Hawk trail camera and later added a wifi camera. The footage in this video is mostly from the Covert camera and took 5 months to acquire. After combing through 6,000 thirty second clips I was able to edit them into this video. Total man hours for this project is around 159 hours.

Great video! I like the coyote pawing at the water. Yeah, when you have a lot of clips built up it can become daunting pulling them together into a video, you've got a lot of patience :)

An amazing array of beautiful wild life, all because of the water levels dropping so well down - must say though Beavers are so fastidious in how they make their dams. Thank you for sharing an awesome video.

Rick, this is an amazing job of capturing our wildlife and a phenomenal editing feat. Kudos to you. My sister Joanne Lempke told me about this. I live in Tucson year around and s enjoy the nature and wildlife. Was that a pygmy owl I saw?

Unfortunately we are working with fixed trail cam footage. Some times repositioning the frame is not possible. It is what it is. Good thought though Thanks.

It’s a good thing the coyote didn’t show up at the same time or chaos would have ensued, you may have had an anvil dropped on your house, lol. Great video. I live in Colorado near Colorado Springs. We feed the birds (too many varieties to name off hand) and end up with turkeys, deer, raccoons, squirrels and ground squirrels, have only seen a skunk once on our security camera. I will have to show your video to my husband and convince him to buy a trail cam. My husband has seen a bobcat in the park at the end of our street, my neighbor has seen a bear, we used to see foxes but haven’t seen one for a few years now, so hopefully if we gat a trail cam I will finally see some of these that I haven’t gotten to yet. The bad thing about it is that we also feed 3 feral cats that we’ve had fixed and sort of tamed so I will be having lots of storage space used up by them. Thanks for sharing this and inspiring me to set up a camera just for the wildlife.
