@@gautambhattacharjee334 Just keep practicing. Use less water and be quick. LOL I had the same problem, still do sometimes. I think that we've all have that problem in the beginning. Acrylics dry fast; so that does cause a bit of a dilemma. You seem to recognize your problem so just start over. You can always gesso over a painting if you're not happy with it and reuse that canvas. But it is good to keep some of your first paintings so that you can compare in a year to see your progress. I've gathered up different techniques from several painters; especially Chuck; he's my all time favorite. Not just saying that, either. You can even try some of the One Stroke paintings just for the sake of brush techniques then come back to landscapes and you'll see several areas of the painting that you can apply some of your One Stroke painting techniques with landscapes.

Chuck: I started painting this last August at the age of 45. Always wanted to, but life took me in other directions. I'm finding it hard, but I've been watching many videos of techniques with acrylics, and I'm always drawn back to yours. It's not just the beauty of the final piece, the shared vision between artist and appreciator, but the truly honest approach that comes across, the clear eagerness by you to help others by showing examples, discussing techniques and how to get through those moments of doubt, showing the materials, media and pallettes you use. If I only ever comment once, just know I'm always watching and trying to learn, rewatching and persevering, and most of all truly grateful that you take the time to put this out here for all of us. Thanks Chuck. Lee.

Great painting. I’m fascinated with your process. It’s a series of concentric loops rather than linear. You’re constantly reevaluating everything. Even at the oil painting stage you were willing to completely rework the river. I tend to get committed to the work done previously. Which means I sometimes throw good money after bad rather than start over and redo something that’s not right. It’s a good lesson, thanks.

Gorgeous!!! It was really relaxing watching this real-time tutorial. I think it was the subject matter combined with your presentation. I would love to see you do a painting of a simple farm/pasture pond, with maybe a couple snapping turtles, cattails, etc., with a thunderstorm with lightning moving in. I'd really like to see how you do the light, from the lightning, reflecting off the bottoms of the clouds, in the water and the surrounding areas. I have no doubt you would do a phenomenal job with it. This one is GORGEOUS!!!

Thank you Chuck so much, unlike so many 'selfish', profit seeking and often very poor artists using KZfaq to just want to SELL their tutorials which as an ex teacher, presenter and online trainer are often very bad (ie speeded up, loads of unnecessary clips as well as cats, singing and eating food). To record in real time (2h 16mins) is tough especially keeping up a narrative. Often on here so called artist just add their paint with out showing their in depth mixing of colours. For actual min by min teaching very impressed and I use to teach teachers. But most of all is your real time and very detailed explanation of how it is done (ie secrets gains after many hours of learning and practise) , after viewing maybe thousands of KZfaq videos you are up there with the best. No heavy pushing of your own web site which I have no problems with, on seeing the art you sell and their prices it is obvious you are head and shoulders over most artists on here. I admire and respect that even though doing well as an artist it is obvious from producing such KZfaqs as this one (others take note) you really wish to help other budding artists to share your skill and talent to help others via the web , which is what KZfaq should be, not a marketing platform.

bamabev79 hi my friend, same here. I recently began using chalk pastels to paint skies, and I think you would like them. They are very easy to use, and to blend colors, just use the edge of your finger. The end result of the art is VERY SIMILAR looking to oils and acrylics! Good luck!

This is my first time watching a video on your channel, I love painting sooo much and at times I get frustrated because a painting doesn’t seem to be coming out the way I want it, but watching how you slowly brought the painting to life, changing things here and there and stepping away than coming back and adding and changing more things it really made me think about how I put too much pressure on myself to make it perfect in the very beginning. Painting takes time and patience and one definitely shouldn’t rush it or get frustrated. I’ve never thought to oil paint over top of acrylic but that’s actually a really good idea and I’d love to try that! Thanks for making this video and I can’t wait to learn more from you! 💗

Actually it's really not a good idea to paint oil or acrylic over each other. That's just the one thing I have to say. Otherwise his pants are just mind-boggling the amazing and beautiful. But yeah you don't mix oil and acrylic in the same painting. We can get cracks or things flaking off overtime because they don't adhere to each other etcetera Etc

Watching you paint is mesmerizing! I'm what I would consider an "OK" painter. I've dome some work that was pretty good. But I'm going to "sacrifice" one of my pieces to try to oil paint on top.
