I learned a trick from MJ Sailing for filling bags. Put the bag over your hand like a glove. Then scoop the filler material out of the mix pot. Then flip the bag inside out. Super easy. Your mom's curler cracked me up. Parents can be such a trip sometimes.

You can mix epoxy with sawdust to make a resistant filler. If you have lots of holes you can drill out the wholes and with a plug cutter cut out fresh wood plugs to fill each hole exactly with fresh epoxy soaked wood. All hatch collars/surfaces need to be epoxy sealed and check them for flatness or curve depending on the hatch. Sun roofs on cars and kit cars are notorious for leaking for the same reasons. Its tedious work now but its the foundations the big stuffs built on ...so its important... Hi to Mum and Dad...😊 Dont forget for flooring or added insulation you can use cork tiles ..great underfoot and safe ...or roll material ... For texture colour or just to paint over...

M8. Excellent work. Consider winter is coming though. You will be stuck inside with bad weather all winter long, especially in those parts. Engines, mast, chain plates, rigging, and you may yet be able to sail out of there before the snow packs ye in. Ye could be working these things in the Canary Islands at 21°C in January, or 0°C where ye are. You can still spend 3 weeks at home for the holidays. I would be trying to high tail it out of there if it were me! Much love Mark

That is why extruded polystyrene is so much better than expanded polystyrene. -- Hook and loop fasteners on sander will melt on pressure, which is usually the case when using the edge. I usually finish with those, since the other options are made for pressure and rough surfaces, but will leave pigtails.

I’m not sure why but I never see people using an Impact Driver for stubborn screws to get them started coming out, especially stainless screws in aluminum etc, a impact driver set comes with different screw/driver bits and you just use them by hitting the one end with a hammer to turn the screw lot less likely to strip the head of the screw out and cheap

About those piping bags… I use them often when cooking. Chef and sailor for 40 + years. Pro tip, fold down sides of the piping bag about half way, covering your hand. Load in the thickened epoxy down towards the tip, flip up the sides, twist the bag till snug, snip the tip to the desired size, pipe away.

Hello Mark, you are doing great work, and I have a tip or suggestion for you. When you need to fill holes that you might re-drill later, I like to clean them out & rough up the sides of the hole, then fill with epoxy and a hardwood dowel, or toothpick for small holes. Wood can give better grip for fresh screws or bolts than just epoxy by itself. Just my opinion, keep up the good work. (Jim Seattle)
