You gave us glimpses that world is not scary out there. I told my husband since last year that I want to purchase a van, converted my self and travel Europe. He knew my obsession and understood. I am now still agressievely attacking my €20,000 debt which I hope will be finished end of next year and after that I will be able to consider buying a van. In my dad's village and others around, there are lots of creeks, a big lake, river beaches, water everywhere. Very curious, hospitable and friendly people.

You are an amazing young lass with a great spirit for adventure. I love your videos. Please don't take this as an attack. This is simply a challenge to open your mind a little on the topic of guns. As with many things that we fear, we are usually afraid of them because we are not familiar with them and could possibly benefit from educating ourselves on them. You seem to be very smart about many things in life. I have grown up with guns and have never once had an accident of any type. I attribute that to the early education my father gave me on how to respect guns, and handle and use guns safely. Without that education and familiarity, I would probably be uncomfortable around guns as well. I recommend you find a gun safety class and take it. Maybe even approach some of the Skeet & Trap clubs, tell them about your concerns and ask them to help familiarize you with guns. If after all of that, you are still uncomfortable with guns, then continue on without guns in your life. But at least at that point, you will have broadened your mind and given it a fair chance. Dear me! What a relaxing day that turned out to be! I'm very glad you didn't make for good target practice. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I used to work in the travel industry and have traveled a fair bit - but now, thanks to a rare autoimmune disorder, I am pretty much stuck at home and likely to never travel again. It's just lovely to see the world through your eyes. It's kind of healing for me; it makes me feel like my world is not so small. Stay safe out there!

You stayed so calm! I'm from America and, when I was hiking in England with American friends, we heard gunshots and we flattened ourselves against the ground. Guns are horrible.

Scotland has quite a unique and recent history in that tens of thousands were forcefully and violently removed from the land they had worked for generations to make way for sheep and for the servicing of wealthy sporting parties. Hence why land ownership here is still contentious and why the crofting laws were later introduced. Hunting for pleasure and guns for pleasure are fairly widely reviled imo. I agree living off the land here is difficult as the growing season is so short in the far north. Cool channel. Cool vegan. Greetings from cool Shetland!

I'm with you on the gun issue, although I think I'd arm myself if I lived in certain countries or even certain areas of countries like America, where there is a lot of crime and gang violence

Also very strange that the drone came by later hovering above you. Shows you need to be careful especially a woman on her own. As long as you’ve always got a mobile with you. You may well think that a drone is focused on you but it could easily be focused on anywhere from the horizon to yourself; without the drone being so close that you can see the gimbal you just don't know. :) Love the videos.

Funny that you mention Portugal. A few minutes ago I was going to suggest you go there... I am from Lisbon but almost all my family's properties are in a small village close to Spain, mostly abandoned because the grandkids of the farmers migrated or immigrated to make money (simple country life there, survival only possible when families were big, with a lot of cooperation, or making money abroad and then building a house, buying machinery, etc.
