Real Wild

7 жыл бұрын

The Australian Saltwater crocodile is the world's largest terrestrial carnivore growing up to 6 metres in length and weighing up to 1000 kilos. Intrepid natural historian and real-life Crocodile Dundee Steve Irwin, journeys to Australia's far north to try and capture a nuisance crocodile and teach it a lesson before releasing it back into the wild. Set against the colorful backdrop of Australia's Top End, this film shows that these often ferocious man-eaters have a gentler side that make them caring lovers and devoted parents.

That's what made him compulsive viewing, he was flying high and safe as a button. It was just his time with ray, he was in pain 24/7 with various bad injuries, his neck and shoulder were so bad from a croc rescue and an accident with machinery at the zoo taht he couldn't head the last expedition. he was having to stand to one side. People need to realize how awesome Steve Irwin was. We all took him for granted because we couldn't imagine that he would ever die. Then once he was gone, it was like, "Damn, I miss that guy. He was one of a kind. Nobody else on Earth is as insane or as capable as Steve. He can't be replaced. That really sucks." 😕 He was such an awesome guy. I mean he spread joy as he was ankle deep in deadly lizards, snakes, and crocs. All while never trying to harm or even disturb them. It was insane.

This is why PETA has no room to shit on Steve. The man not only bought up land to allow for conservation of troubled salties, but he also understood upsetting the balance of the ecosystem if he were to remove the alpha so he opted to use negative reenforcement to teach the salty to stay away from boats so that he can be allowed to stay in his natural habitat. On top of that, all of his methods were humane. He used wooden stakes so that the croc wouldn't injure himself when it thrashes. The only bait he used was an invasive species of wild pig that harrasses these crocs' nests. He didn't sedate the salty because of the potential dangers to the croc's life. He used biodegradable hempen string and rope on the traps so that they can be left there to decompose naturally. He cared for the alpha so as to not cause serious stress and kept him cool and hydrated. He immediately released the female croc so that she wouldn't become too stressed. PETA, an organization that just euthanizes 95.5% of the animals it "rescues" is not even close to the level of animal care and conservation efforts that Steve and the Irwins are on.

PETA doesn't care what humans do for animals...they want humans to have ZERO contact with animals..that is their "idea" of conservation. In fact...people who submit there dogs and cats to PETA shelters are only sending the animals to there deaths as PETA euthanizes animals that have had contact with humans...its absolutely insane! Honestly I'm a member of Peta2 but I gotta roll my eyes at all the dumbshit peta does. Basically what I do at Peta is just help sign things and send emails to companies for more ethical treatment of animals, such as asking brands to stop using real fur and such. But omg it makes me so embarrassed that Peta does shit like try to say Steve Irwin harassed Crocodiles. I have a huge soft spot for Crocodiles, even have a tattoo of one. Watching this video, I can see Steve absolutely wasn't harassing the animals.

Stabbed in the heart by a stingray….wasn’t to surprised because Steve had such a big heart it was impossible to miss.

Amazed by the part where he spontaneously submerges himself to look for a crocodile, finds one, then just reaches in and grabs it with his bare hands. This man was truly one of a kind.

I mean, that's about the only flaw Steve has. He just likes to get up close and personal with animals, no matter how dangerous. He even said in an interview how he was wondering why he's still alive. Eventually though, that flaw caught up with him, he tried to gently handle a Stingray, and it attacked him. Reckless, perhaps? But Steve was indeed an amazing individual, he doesn't do what he does for fame and money. Those are just a means to an end for him, what he's really after is to teach as many people as he can about the beauties of nature and wildlife, and that we should treasure them as much as we can before they're gone forever.

🐨In 1997, while on a fishing trip on the coast of Queensland with his father, Irwin discovered a new species of turtle. 🐢Later given the honor of naming the newly discovered species, he named it "Irwin's Turtle," (Elseya irwini) after his family. 🐌Another newly discovered Australian animal --a species of air-breathing land snail, "Crikey steveirwini," was named after Irwin in 2009.
