E26 | The Big Lap of WA - Lucky Bay and Esperance

Күн бұрынThis week we snag the last available camp site at the very popular Lucky Bay camp ground. We meet the locals on the beach (kangaroos), climb Frenchmans Peak and explore some of the most pristine beaches you'll ever find.
From there we move onto Esperance and do the 40km scenic Great Ocean Drive.
Next week we stumble on one of WA's hidden gems - Duke of Orleans. This place was wild and untouched - with vehicle access to some magnificent beaches and bays.

FIrst off the bat, Percy is so gorgeous!!! This weeks video, again, showcases another part of WA with beautiful drone work of your drive along the beach., hiking adventures, super squeaky beach sand and lovely camping areas. The colours of the water are simply amazing. Even with border closures, your BIg Lap of WA has still been amazing and we cannot wiat for next weeks episode.

Cold weather too cold for kangaroos? Understand completely. I went to the Amazon Jungle (the bit that's in Peru) in 2007, a cold wind from Antartica decided to blow right through Argentina and turn left to where we were. We were in jackets, beanies, gloves and shivering our butts off. No animals appreared then either. Glad the roo's did show up eventually. Thanks again Tourings - Peter V.

I stayed at that caravan park at Esperance in 2007, up on the hill. Came all the way from a small town in country Victoria and a few hours after setting up I had a knock on my window and there was my local cop from 6 doors up smiling through the window lol 😂 . Small world when caravanning!

Another great episode!!! Don’t be down, look at the amazing family time and places you have been 👍😃. It could have been worse you could have been locked down with us in Vic 😂😂😂. Can you put in a vid or in comments the maps, travel guides, apps, etc you use to plan your travels and find the amazing places you have been and shown to us👍

Still reckon that you have done the right thing given how quick your Premier shuts the border. Right thing to do obviously but it would make travelling and getting back a nightmare. We won't be doing any interstate stuff unless things are very settled.

Yeah it's been bloody busy, this years looking to be the same, tried to do some online bookings for up but North (4-6mnths away) and lots of stuffs already booked out.

Hello you three - great video as always ;-) a couple of episode ago, you made a short euphoric comment that boarders are open again, and that you are planing to push to nt. knowing that the episodes are way behind i always wondered how the timeframe would make up, espacially because there were episodes within (ex Christmas) where you are still within WA, which didnt make any sense :-) kinda sad to find out, that you wont make it to sa or nt, thats for the next time then ;-) anyway i reckon you are back in perth now, did you go into the Nullarbor? greetings from germany seb

Gday Seb. It's been a roller coaster ride trying to manage the time we had with all the uncertainty that Covid caused. We've been back in Perth a few weeks now and already planning the next trip 😂 No we didn't do the Nullabor on that trip unfortunately, I did do it in 2019 in 'The Red Centre' trip though.
