It started off with Dot Rotten in the battle field by himself and as it stands right now, Wiley & Stormzy are going at each other. Both have dropped two diss records / war dubs. Who's winning? Also, Is "Suck You Mum" in a clash going too far??

As much as Wiley has a problem with Stormzy, I think his problem is more with what Stormzy sonically represents than anything. If Stormzy and someone like AJ Tracey switched positions, Wiley's beef would be with AJ. I think it's just being in that top position and representing grime enough that he might have qualms with. But as the beef develops, maybe more context will be added, or it might just be bare more pars 😂

NATH SOTV that was before Ed became a global star which is one of the reasons why Wiley has an issue with him because Wiley tried linking up again once he ‘made it’ and he didn’t wanna know.
@veronicam2935
@veronicam2935 4 жыл бұрын
@@SonnyL Actually Ed and Wiley's other song is also is on spotify and youtube, both of their songs were recorded in 2010 and released in 2011. In 2017 Wiley was raving about Ed - Next year, ‘Godlike Genius’, you need to be giving it to Ed Sheeran,” Wiley told NME. “He’s a Godlike Genius, he’s a mate, but more importantly he’s a great musician.” so that was all put to rest years ago. Wiley has never tried to hook up with Ed when he had made it, Ed has just been signed to a record label as a singer-songwriter but hadn't released his debut album yet. Wiley, JME and Dot Rotten etc featured on Ed's No.5 Project (2011) and Stormzy, Dave and J Hus featured on Ed's No.6 Project (2019). Ed's 3 main studio album had no featured artists, only his projects are collaborations. Ed has also said he was looking forward to The Godfather 3, an since they were photographed together in 2017, maybe Ed would have featured on it

so glad you touched on how talented and important Dot Rotten is in all this - criminally underrated and constantly blackballed by the scene, but look what he's started also it makes me laugh thinking how much better dubs that've been sent to Wiley over the years, most notabally Devlin and Dot's original 'wiley can't diss hoodstars' dub but people now wanna say Stormzy's killing him? Stormzy's dubs aren't on that level at all really but you can't really tell his meme making fans that lol that being said Wiley needs to start taking it a bit more seriously and send something on a Nightbus level cos these kids will not stop backing Stormzy whatever happens

You should actually read the lyrics of each song rather then just listening to each song, stormzy has a clear message, Wiley does not. Wiley speaks about himself and what he's done, could have done and why people should be showering him with all his praise. Stormzy actually responds to everything that's said directly at him, granted its not too too much but that's on Wiley for creating a normal song full of generic same old lines and same old flow, rather than understanding this is a beef. Just because you like to throw random insults on anyone who doesn't agree with your clearly uneducated assessment, doesn't make them a children, again, that shows your mentality level, nobody else's. Moron.

Big up Chuckie for always throwing in a different perspective and backing himself. Big up lippy coz man's just too funny and makes excellent points. And for the very first time ever, big up Poet(can't actually believe I'm saying it tbf 🤣) for actually stating his opinion & not getting splinters in his arse by sitting on the fence like he usually does when the discussion is about the scene ie his friends. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Fully enjoyed the podcast differently this time. And Lippy, mek sure you come back bruv👍🏾

Growth will always take you away from your foundation. It's a part of it. Stormzy is helping to put a spotlight on Grime in a way that Wiley never could. Wiley is the foundation and Stormzy is the growth.

Wiley''s had high praise for Ed on twitter for years and also said this in 2017. Next year, ‘Godlike Genius’, you need to be giving it to Ed Sheeran,” Wiley told NME. “He’s a Godlike Genius, he’s a mate, but more importantly he’s a great musician.”

Don't sleep on Dot Rotten vs Everybody that brudda is unloading clips shelling off rounds. Coming like Rambo in the village. As far as #Wiley vs #Stormzy. Wiley won round 1. Stormzy won round 2. It was essential that Stormzy sent back on a Grime riddim and wow he delivered despite being on a promo run with visuals and in 24 hours. This is a classic legendary moment in Grime...it has to be said Wiley is beyond a genius 👊🏿

For everyone saying lippy should have spoke more: remember he doesn't know the history of Grime. Poet is one of the UK's most qualified to speak on grime doesn't make his opinions right, not a poet fan at all just been here from the beginning and so was he. I have listened to stormzy from dungeon days with cadet till now and I like his music its in my playlists. Bare man just want stormzy releasing hood tapes and music. Funny thing is alot of black women actually bang his music. Ironic innit and he never left the scene he still gives you the hard tunes but his audience reach is soo massive now and need to be catered to and now wiley came for him and the old mikey put his cap back on and went off.
