In part 5 we finish off the work to fit the nose halves from the BM onto the HK Cockpit sections of the fuselage, then we work on fitting the Border model glazing parts.. job done!!

Lovely to see the Lanc back, Nige. it's going to make a great augmentation to the HKM kit and not a screwdriver in sight.

Another master-class. I did the Border nose - first kit in 20? Years. Brave or stupid? Can’t afford the whole thing money or display-space wise. $1,000 Canadian! Then B-ggerd-up the Airfix Mk.II. Too small for the old eyes. Now getting through the 1/48 HK Mk.1. Going very well. A few mistakes but next up is their Dambuster or the Grand-Slam version. Waiting on my new airbrush - then primer and paint. 🤞🏻

at one stage you were talking about putting the Hatchette cockpit and maybe even the front gun into the nose section will you still be doing that or not

I dont recall ever mentioning that? I did say that the Hachette pedestal and seat area were better than the HK.

You also have the original Hatchette 32nd one mate, a LOT MORE WORK than Border, HK or the latest Hatchette kit, complete built up airframe, lots of white metal parts, all skins have to be marked out and riveted with a rivet wheel, wireing, piping etc shaped and installed by the builder and, and, and😉
