@UNIQUE REMIXES & SLOW IT DOWNS 😆 I never understood why they couldn't carry any car audio worth a $hit. Same as Oreilies too. Boss and Duel really? maybe a Kenwood head unit at Auto Zone if i remeber correctly. They dont even carry good power cable just hard ass battery cable down to 4awg for like $4.50 a ft .I just finished building my first custom amp rack (which can be seen here) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pbt9fZSB1Mudeqc.html and ended up ordering almost all my heavy wire and speaker wire from Sky High for about $2 ft for the 4 awg OFC and 50ft of 14awg OFC for less than 20 bucks.

I have sone ryobi power tools ive akways been thinking of maki g my own Bluetooth stereo or boom box powered like this . then for christmas i was given one made by ryobi . id still love to see how much sound someone could get from these small batteries . similar to the $150 spl challenge . I also use the 56 volt ego power for my cordless lawnmower its a huge battery in comparison. Im sure a step down converter would allow someone to use that battery. Like this .. Cool video

@@stacy532 I made a bluetooth speaker box with four 5.25 inch Polk audio and a Walmart dual 2 channel mini amp. I use my Ryobi 18v battery to power it with a 18v -24v step down to 12v. .....yeah when you can build them for PENNIES on the dollar; buy or bid on a whole pallet or lot online of 18650's (same batteries they make tools batteries from) then get a bunch if solderless connectors and plan out your packs according to voltage needs. You may have to use a series/parallel or parallel/series orientation depending upon your specific needs. Then shrink wrap and connect each cell pack accordingly. You can even use wago connectors. Its fairly simple and makes for a totally solderless job virtually eliminating any tools needed....if you have a elementary level understanding of electrical (literally identifying "+" from "-") you can read, and able to do a little math; you can do it!!

Would love to see that video. I've been experimenting with them myself. Built a Bluetooth tower. At the bottom is a Pyle PLPW8D wired to 8ohm, on top of that is a Pyle PDMR5 , on top of that a Pyle PDMW5, on top of that is a quad of some cheap 5w 50mm mini Bluetooth woofers from Amazon that turned out to be some of the best highs I've ever used. I'm powering it with 2 TPA3110 XH-A232 1 each for the mid woofer and midrange and 2 PAM8403 for each pair of 50mm's and a TPA3116D2 for the 8. using a dell Optiplex 780 power supply to supply the various voltages now. In the design stage the Dewalt batteries were my best friend. Currently playing around with them more with different ways to use them to power the tower in the future to make it portable. I think going to need a few buck converters and and a step up converter to make it happen but well see.

Totally off topic but I gotta say that I bought a 15” E series v.3 D2 from the yard sale site about a year ago and it was only $99. I’ve ran that sub so fucking hard feeding it close to 800w rms from one of the new Pioneer D class monoblock amps and it hasn’t disappointed me yet. I built a 3.25cu ft, that’s usable airspace, custom enclosure from 3/4” Birch with a triple layer baffle, sub inverted and tuned it painstakingly to 32hz using around 17” in length and 6” inside diameter round green pvc port with flat ends, no flares only rounded over the pvc and I smile every time I get into my extended cab Nissan Frontier and that bass makes my fucking eyeballs shutter lol. I’ve completely drown out so many people running 2 12”s AND 2 15”s of some supposed “high end” subwoofers. I always get the same response “oh this system is new and I don’t have the right amp for my subs” or “this is my system I’m using until I get my “real” system” 🤣🤣. The second excuse for getting shit on is personally my favorite to hear 🤣🤣. Thanks for the great equipment and thanks for the yard sale so guys like me, a disabled combat Veteran on a fixed income with three young kids to take care of, can also have the opportunity to purchase great equipment at insanely low prices.

Show how to replace fans in amp (that is out of warranty) with quieter/stronger fans 3. Demonstrate SPL difference between subs up port back and subs back port back and..?? 3. Test wattage/SPL difference between AGM with Lithium 4. Test difference between 1 bank vs 2 banks of 2.7v 3k super caps 5. Hit me up anytime for dozens of more ideas 👍

You can't get much run time with 1 x 4.8amp dewalt lipo at an 800 watt draw. You're better off with a lithium jumpstarter. They're at 12-15v. If you NEED it to be a drill battery, why not just the M-12 Milwaukee batteries? 12v all day. No worries. Each M12 battery has three 18650 batteries putting out 12v. Not only that, they sell Powerwheels adapters for those M-12 batteries so you can slap them in a power wheels car, and then recharge using the Milwaukee charger. They're $5 on ebay, and would make a great battery socket on a DIY boombox

Thanks for testing this man, I’ve been thinking about making a jump starter using four Dewalt battery adapters wired directly into jumper cables to start a few old cars. I’ve been having some alternator and battery problems on my mustang and I need to jump it often while fixing the electrical system. It’s a ‘66 so every electrical component on the car is mechanical aside from the radio. I assume under load the batteries will drop enough voltage to not harm the radio even though I see in this video it should handle that full 20v fine. I’ve done the calculations and Dewalt uses cells that can peak 50 amps each. So in a bigger pack with those cells wired in parallel each pack can put out at least 100 amps momentarily. So ~400 amps give or take should boost my car just fine.

They should be around 2000mah high drain battery each 18650 and the battery pack it self has a protective board that protect the batteries from be under discharged and prevent the amps current. The board should be no more than 20 amps. So, keep this in mine to calculate how many batteries in parallel you can use to run the audio for a while.

You have to do this for 18650 or most lithium batteries when charge is too low. Most of the drill batteries are just 18650 batteries stacked together they are easy to repair because of this.

That was a cool video. Awesome video. different content. I wonder what the actual price difference would be for say a 40 amp hr drill batt cell compared to a traditional car audio lithium bank of the same specs.

Interesting, I also was wondering this 2 days ago but was like no way a amplifier would turn on without protecting itself or blowing a fuse or damaging it.

The battery is 20 volts but the amp is only going to pull what it needs so all the voltage above you amps max voltage just gains you extra play time. Pretty cool implementation of all the involved electronics imo.
@justin_womack
@justin_womack Жыл бұрын
@@erictheboringone5292 No, that's not correct. The amp will take everything you give it, and most voltage-sensitive parts have an operable range that will protect it from running the wrong power. Mosfets are not one of those things, so if your amp has a "MOSFET Power Supply", then avoid over-voltage. It is true that you can never have too many amps (amperes, not power amps), because a system will only draw what it needs, but that's current, not voltage. You either need a transformer to step the voltage down or you need to use 12V drill batteries; most of the big manufacturers have 12V systems they sell for home/diy toolboxes.

Thanjs for the feedback! The saz-1500d amp dyno video is here on the channel. The Salt multi channel amp dynos are coming very soon. Gonna have to find an old saz-2500d to dyno. They have been discontinued for a while now.
