The kw1 lishi is great on weiser. If no open set all Pins possible. Then feel for the spaces that won't set. Then feel the space that is set by rebound of the bottom pin. Take the cut decoded from each set pin and minus one on the kwikset chart. Cut on weiser dsd. Much like American padlock to master pin values. Been using the lishi regularly to decode weiser with finish up by impressioning. Cheers.

I'm getting much better with automotive lishi's but very hit and miss with the residential. It's epic when you do get it. Especially the decoding part.

Yale just released the Weiser keyway in some of their crappiest deadbolts ever made (because they heard about the Weiser export thing) . I almost picked one up to make fu…I mean “review” but it’s such a waste of money. Hoping I’ll run across one in the field to review ;)

Weiser Already Died off in the Northeast. I haven't run across a Weiser lock in years in my area in Southern New England. The demise of Weiser began with the advent of the Big Box Stores like Home Depot and Lowes. Most Weisers around here were Locksmith installed.

Great video. I’ve wondered about the KW1 lishi’s in other keyways. AR1 is another one that’s close. Even with Weiser, the space to first cut then between cuts is different than Kwiksets but shouldn’t matter with lishi tool other than for decoding and if it will clear the taller pins. Thanks for sharing!

Most of the time from IDN Acme, just got another couple of boxes ordered yesterday. I only have 1 regular brass KW1 left cause I forgot to order last week 😮

I wonder if the LW5 would work in the weiser. There are 10 pin sizes and the keyway has the same profile as the kwikset but slightly wider. Do you think the Lockwood lishi would work in the Weiser, cheers
