"Infrastructure" and "support for domestic industry" being construed as laughable "so called achievements" is mind blowing in itself, but doubly so when you consider that the AUKUS submarine deal is just a subsidy for the American shipping industry at foreign expense. The discussion also doesn't really pertain to Asia's opinion on AUKUS at all. Instead it chooses to underline that the AUKUS deal is at best logistically dubious while already priming for the argument that its likely failure will be at the hands of Labour governments that weren't committed enough to American foreign interests. Meanwhile, in the face of failure, the "modern DARPA" argument will be used to support further overblown military expenditures that use tax payer money for little value to the general populace.
