Peer to peer transactions are all good until someone decides to not play by the rules. Civilizations began when people trading with each other---making agreements with each other---realized there is always a need for a strong entity to enforce the agreements. That strong personality eventually became King.

And once transactions involved exchanging currency rather than hard goods, it became easy for greedy people with low morals to cheat the person they were doing business with. Crypto is for crooks -- who else needs to buy & sell without any governing body knowing about it?

I was really excited by the title, but the documentary is a bit too dramatic in the way it has been produced. There are too many pictures and scenes that do not add any value or new information at all. Also the explanation of block chain is not really considering people with a non- technical background - an example would have been useful. Disadvantages for Bitcoin are also not highlighted, e.g. money laundry, illegal transactions, tax fraud.

Not sure when some of the interviews were recorded, felt like 2021-22. It's unfortunate that blockchain projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum have been taken over by Global Venture Capital firms due to the costs involved. Now the World Bank is pushing for an International Standardised, State controlled CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies) which are being trialled throughout the developed and developing world, the hope of blockchain returning economic power and personal freedom to individuals is fading fast.

So what if there is lots of lewdness, does anyone here think that it's freeing? Let grown-ups live like they choose and stop trying to hold our hands like we are little kids who don't know nothing! Sure some grown-ups maybe need a government, or in the future, a company/conglomerate. Forcing people to deny what they want is what makes us feel miserable, everyone has different likings and things that drive them on. What's the point of life if you can't enjoy it freely as you see fit as long as you don't harm any living thing. Ever since physical money, there has been no real way to trace it other than recorded events by an individual. So, unless you think that a fully govern & watched currency would not have repercussions against the individual, what would stop a criminal, drug dealer, or rogue state from continuing their business under a false pretense?
