I remember watching this and the main thing i remember about the game was Will shaking hands of the fans and signing autographs as he came off, he always comes across as such a lovely guy.

i was at that game at Wrigley, and when he talks about the announcer and his reaction, I can honestly say I laughed harder at Will's disappointment in the joke getting ruined than the joke itself. It was hilarious; AND the butchered each of the players names in the starting line up! it was hilarious

Fun fact, Football got its name because it was played on foot (as opposed to horseback, like polo) not because you kicked the ball with your foot. There were originally several different sports all called football. One variation was eventually called association football (shortened to asoccer and later soccer) They then changed it to just football but by that time, American football had already been around.

The reference is that whenever any football player receives even just a gentle tap, they fall to the ground and start rolling around like someone cut their leg off. Usually they also clutch a body part that was in no way involved in the preceeding altercation.

Actually in Australia it's called Rugby, not rugby football... They have a sport called Australian rules football, but otherwise every country calls it rugby, not rugby football, this is literally the first time I have heard of it called Rugby Football...

well thats one of the many explanations I've been given since i moved here, and it seemed pretty legit. Anyways I think it takes a lot for us europeans to understand the game, its not soccer and its not rugby, we are not familiar with it, a whole bunch of rules not always easy to understand, but, personally, after years I'd rather watch a NFL game than a soccer game...took a while though!

It is fun to watch if the teams/players are good. MLS is horrible but "la liga" (Spanish League) is very entertaining. It helps if you've played the game, as with any sport.

England??? That would be Europe we in Wales call it football as well. It is only America that calls it Soccer... Rugby is just Rugby not Rugby Football the term football in rugby is only used when kicking the ball when running which doesn't happen often.. Trust me i'm Welsh we live and breathe Rugby!

Like I said, we were calling our game football while you were still calling yours soccer. American football has a perfectly legitimate claim to the name. How 'bout this: we won't tell you what to call your game and you won't tell us what to call ours.
