Yes indeed. Just as I expected. A thin layer of meat and gravy clinging on to the base. The rest full of air and pastry. All pies should be filled to the top.

This is exclusively how I cook mine - makes the pastry nice and crispy on top, tender underneath. Keep an eye on Sainsburys, they go down to like £1.10, sometimes 1.30 on nectar points.

Hear is a tip,cover the pie completely with kitchen foil,upside down,on 150 degrees for 15 minutes turn half way through then take foil off 2 mins before end cooking, the pastry nice soft not as over cooked as the pie in video, it looked burnt ,trust me.try it and tell me your results,I have a Ninja foodie, was amazing .

When you cut the pie open I thought you were going to go nuts at first. It looked only 1/3 full. Glad you enjoyed it. I won’t be able to try it cause we don’t have Morrisons over here. 👍

i buy the air fryer liners (dirt cheap) and 5 mins before end i take the pie out of it's tray and turn it upside down, it helps get the bottom brown and stops the top from being to dry.

An Air Fryer is just a small oven so no need to say "will it". I came to get cooking info (temp/time) as a guide, as all AFs vary. Found that eventually on this video but overcooked as puff pastry should be flakey when cut into and that was brittle. At least it showed how little meat/gravy is in a Pukka pie. The images on food products compared to what we actually get has been a gripe of mine for years.

Generally with air fryers , you take 10% off the heating and time , so it would have been about 170 for 20ish minutes

Put the pie and some frozen chips in the same drawer for 17 minutes at 190, thinking the pie may need longer because of the chips. Chips were perfect, but the pastry was a bit well done, but the filling was red hot. It went down like, but maybe the pie for 15 minutes as you said next time. 😅

You can cook sausage rolls, steak bakes & pastys in the air fryer, why wouldn't a pukker pie cook properly as well !?

frozen croissants, pain au chocolate, bacon & cheese wraps are all great in the airfryer, need to reduce the temperature by about 20C and time by a few minutes though

Maybe try cooking a meal - air fry some salmon and some corn on the cob and asparagus with some new potatoes?

Not keen on pukka pies when i worked in Doncaster they was in every chippy too much pastry in my opinion much prefer a hollands pie but there meat quality has gone downhill in recent years
