Years ago it was quite different. People now have driving experience, they have a lot of experience knowing what to do to beat other specific bots, and of course they know much better how to build bots that can last and do damage. True though, that does tend to push everyone into making one kind of machine that all look the same. To encourage variety, I think the rules would have to favor multiple styles of bot. They already have some of that by allowing heavier weight for certain kinds of bots. Maybe they need to experiment more with the rules.

Might be interesting but hydra is doing really well they would have to make a big mistake to lose to ribbot. That said ribbot has a really low fork config they might use against hydra so you never know.

Minotaur and Black Dragon. Two very durable teams from Brazil.

Minotaur was also a little lucky that Fusion and Malice had reliability problems. It seem to get serious hits from both, but then Fusion caught fire and Malice weapon died, though at least Minotaur withstood them too

So Riptide managed to KO it properly and then BD endured against Ripperoni until it died, but Ripperoni also gave Ribbot a chance to give BD its second KO loss

Mini rant, but I do agree with this, tbh! So many fights were FOTW material to me, tbh. They should just post some of the ones that made the most impacts here, ahaha. I thought even Madcatter vs HUGE was neat, and SawBlaze vs Monsoon! Okay, mini rant time (feel free to ignore). I'm so glad that the controversy streak ended here! I think the "worse" thing that was said was during some "hype" interviews, once again regarding how controversial the team's been, and then Ethan saying "F the haters", but at the same time, I can almost understand that attitude. I wouldn't had said it on national television, but whatevs. xD But Ethan and Team Riptide were almost back to their Rookie stage; Humble entrance, not doing anything outrageous, or any of that. I wonder if maybe Will's words took a shot with Ethan (he made a great point that they have multiple targets on their backs and someone is gonna give them a shot of humility), and maybe they're finally sinking in..? Or we'll come back with RT vs Copperhead and something's gonna happen, like they're purposely destroy the minibot that's probably just being piloted by that little boy. :/ We'll see what happens when it happens. But if Ethan and the team can get their act back on track to the humble humans they should be, I may go back to my "neutral/not bad" state of mind about them. It's never about the Bot for me, it's the people, and while I've seen Ray and Jake show their humility at times, I just don't see it with Ethan right now. But even this win against Hypershock wasn't one of those "IN YOUR FACE HAHAHAHAHA!" moments, it was just more swearing than usual - but i expect that from Ethan anyway. :P

This was a nasty fight. I didn’t expect black dragon to be KOed by ribbot after it survived massive hits from ripperoni. Really shows the power of ribbot

You mean vertical spinners? Hitting up is almost always better because hitting down you're just launching yourself. I think huge has the ability to reverse its spinner and it's pretty much the only bot where that is a valid strategy.
