I think I may have to pick up one of these Savage Flux XL this time around. Really like that green body. And I had a HPI Savage nitro back a long time ago. Hope they do well in the next couple years!

I do alot of grass running and some jumping off a backside of a berm, my senton loves it, still got some tweaking to do to my reeper though, this NC weather lately is ridiculous

There is a screw driver to adjust the end points built into the radio. It's in the battery tray

Gotta love the savage I just convert mine to electric from nitro. 4.6. an I can't keep the wheels down. That 2200kv. Motor is sick. Nothing to down my nitro engine.

Absolutely the flux is a beast. That 2200 kv is a ton of fun. I want a 4.6 also. I like nitro as well.

Ya u need to change the tires pinion/spur gear .mine savage flux xl flips over 3/4 throttle give a little more is to much love my savage

Nice basher , it's a beast that's on my list 👌 sold-out at the time ! Was wanting at least too" Big scales" in my collection & dropped 2.k on Xmaxx & Reeper. Have the Nitro Savage ,it a pain to keep running though, appreciate the cool run vid awesome rig 💯🔥🔥

How would you rank the reeper to the xmaxx on durability after the shocks are fixed

@@restinpiecesrc5528 IDK , I did the aluminum shock caps & oil on my Reeper & haven't broke anything & my Xmaxx broke 2 #hub carriers, but upgraded to the aluminum . They're both beast ! The Reeper jumps & handles so much better in the air . I dig both & both have little issues. I don't bash them into the ground though XMaxx is a tank , at the sametime X is heavier on a bad landing

@@just4kicks950 definitely have to agree on that, i changed mine to run mx38 hp belted badlands and even with my monstrous 4985 and max6 combo in it on 6s it weighs about 14 pounds

@@restinpiecesrc5528 I luv both of the big beasts. I did upgrade both controllers, the Xmaxx still has a Gyro & added Gyro to the Reeper with upgrade steering sevo . This was the year I wanted 2 big scales Xmaxx & Reeper sweet Rigs IMO both

@@shawncool5496 I think hpi has sone wheels. I may try a pair but I will not be doing much speed runs just wanted to see how fast I can get it. I do like the challenge though

Nice job bro! I liked the video! Is HPI making these again? Is that brand new? Can you get parts for em? Sorry for all the questions lol! I used to have a couple Savages many years ago. I loved the trucks. I was under the impression HPI was all but out of business? I'd be interested to know the gearing? What spur and pinion. Still coming with a 2200kv motor? I love that body! That mil-spec green is killer! Thanks

Yes the savage is back, you can get parts for it. I also had the nitro savage back in the day and it was awesome. The best nitro monster truck in my opinion. It has the 2200kv and it’s a beast. This was my first savage flux and it’s an animal.
