In this video I try to get a 1994 2-stroke yamaha VX500 snowmobile back up and running. This is just a test to make sure i can us it in an up coming project. Lets see if i can use it!

Love those old Vmax's!! I had a 97 700 SX, got a RX Yamaha warrior 4 stroke and now back to the vmax again! Always best to soak the whole carbs in varsol or use a brush and clean them before working on them. Keep in mind not to use too much easy start in the engine, it will wash the oil off the cylinder walls and not run well. Those were bullet proof engines, basic maintenance and they will go for ever but they drink lots of fuel! Hello from Kingston ON!

Assuming it's like my 99 yamaha. The oil pump feeds oils to the fuel pump and somtimes it will gravity feed oil through the pump and completely fill the carb bowls preventing them from functioning properly.
