Lets see if I can get the Suzuki DF6A up and running. At the moment it is locked up so can't test anything. The prior owner thinks it has to do with an existing Suzuki problem with the exhaust valves.

Those little outboards can be a struggle to get running after they have sat for a while. One thing on those carburetors is there is no reason for the float cross pin to be pressed in. I replace the pin with a slightly longer on made from stainlees rig welding rod. Then I drill out the holes slightly so the pin slides freely. The bowl keeps it from sliding out when reassembled.

Keep PB Blaster in the shop all the time. Another good penetrating fluid is a mix of Acetone & Automatic Transmission Fluid mixed 50/50, shake each time before you use it because it does separate over time while sitting on a shelf. Great fabrication of the fuel bowl pin press. They say necessity is the mother of invention/ innovation.

Thanks for the video! I used your advice and was able to un-stick the valve on my Suzuki. My motor is a 2018 and the 1st time it did this was under warranty after only a year. I'm glad that I was able to fix it myself so it won't delay my trip to the Keys.

Marvel mystery oil let it sit, also hit everything with a scotch brite pad with marvel if there is rust. Then clean after the scotch brite and add more marvel mystery oil for reassembly

I use tip cleaners to clean jets there a little tougher than wire P.S. don't use starting fluid you can blow the head use a oil fuel mixture it's safer
