I was mesmerized by those green toenails! Couldn't take my eyes off them - what a hoot! Thought to myself when the front end started to come up - "Hope he's got a brain bucket on!"

You need to remove the carb..take the bowl off the bottom of carb (4) screws. Once upside down..remove the pilot jet with flat blade screwdriver..it's most likely plugged up..take a set of torch tip cleaners and clean out the pilot jet . Clean the main jet the same way . While both are out..spray carb with carb and choke cleaner and blow clean with air compressor . Also make sure you keep track of the needle connected to the float..clean that as well..easy fix..minimal tools

Since he has piles of copper wire, just strip out a single strand and it wont scour the jets either.👍

And make sure you check the airflow around the filter

Yeah I've done this many times in riding mower engines cleaning the jet out with yeah a little stick pen or something that will fit in the jet hole,yeah even the littlest of something can cause an issue like that really easy to repair maybe 20 30 mins and to find that sitting for the trash man wow great find

Don't use gas with ethanol in it forsmall engines. The fuel is hydroscopic (it attracts water) and can cause internal corrosion in engines that sit without use.

That's more than likely what caused the issue. You can tell people not to use ethenal mix until your blue in the face and most won't listen, too complicated for their huge brains to understand I guess Gas is Gas 😜

Big Sfax is correct: need to clean jet/sprayer. Sometimes may need to clean a couple of times. Had many of same experience….it’s the ethanol in fuel that causes it to gum up

we need o learn to drain it after use (and not intending to use for a loong time) :P and let it run dry on the line's too!

Do not run ethanol. Drive that extra mile and get non ethanol.......it eats up everything......clean that carb and your good to go. A stripped bread tie will work just fine.

The brass flat head screw is the idle on the side of the carb turn it right it should idle it up

Easiest thing is order a new carb on eBay. Less than $20 and easy to replace. Don't bust your ass Mike lol. But if you do please film it For us haha. Merry Christmas to you and the family.

You can get complete carbs cheap on eBay and you can put the back end up on blocks so you can work on it while it's running

In the bottom of the bowl take it off in the middle you'll see a little hold on up take the screw out and clean it one of the ports have got to be plugged

Great find, Mike. Many years ago a friend told me if I could get her motorcycle running it was mine. A new battery and spark plug with a new tank of gas and I drove her off. I put thousands of miles on her. What great times!

While it’s running blast that carb cleaner into the intake. You can’t get the cleaner into the small ports unless you take it all the way apart and clean with a welding tip file. The next best thing is blasting with carb cleaner when it’s running.

Now you can do some off road scavenging Mike! That's a pretty cool find though man. If you decide to sell it or give it away that will definitely make a kids day.
