The Dji Osmo Pocket 3 has an incredible image quality, it makes a ton of sense to put it on a drone, but is cumbersome and heavy, let's try stripping it down to the bare minimum and make it work on a Sub250g drone!

The Imagequality is insane on a Sub250 compared to the O3 Air Unit. But risking a 500 Bucks Osmo Pocket in every flight, nah. Not for me mate :D

In fpv we are used to having gopro quality or better dor footage so most are used to the extra money on the quad:)

This is AMAZING! It’s the kind of thing I dream about doing with consumer electronics. “If i could just take this apart and rewire it…” except I don’t have the level of skills or knowledge required to actually pull it off. Nice project. But avata 2 will have that camera, so probably future air unit will have it too

Avata 2 and air unit o4 will have the same sensor as action4, it's a 1/1.3", much better than the current ones but nowhere as good as the 1" on Pocket 3, the image processing is way better too and the gimbal removes the shakes in low light, is not optimal of course, but there is no competition in image quality

This is awesome! I bought an Osmo Pocket 3 aswell recently for creative ideas. I have some videos on my channel about it also, specifically built a one man ‘cinematic rollers’ setup for motorcycles / cars! Good stuff man, I love to see it and love your channel!

I would be really cool if dji gave us a single axis gimbal for fpv like what exists already on the avata. Then with the head tracking in the goggles 2 you could tilt your head for camera angle. It even looks like the gimbal and camera on the avata is run by the same single mipi cable. It's almost entirely a software problem.

Have you seen my Avata 2 project? Ahahah it can be done but the PID tuning is locked, wish DJI allowed more flexibility to their gear, hope to bring many people into FPV so we have a big enough user base that companies can start investing more

Given that everything is working great without a working screen, is there any reason you need to include it in the build? That seems like another bit of weight that could be trimmed!

Forgot to mention in the video, the screen is needed, there is a circuit inside that allows the camera to turn on
