I wrote this song thinking about my childhood home and, while it's strange to think of another family/kids living there, I only want them to make the most beautiful memories there. I know a lot of us have a place that we grew up in and meant a lot to us. we might not be there anymore physically, but memories live forever :) hope you love it!

I was just thinking about the same thing yesterday! And hearing a comeback from Will Jay about that surprised me a lot in fact. I just sold my childhood home after my parents lived there for 65 yrs. Escrow closes this friday. Both of my parents are gone now , so this was very difficult to do, since this is the only home I've ever known except my home. There are so many memories and joys there. It now looks like someone else;s home but the backyard, my mom's sacred space is exactly the same. Friday I have to hand it over to strangers and never step in there again. I can not even fathom this. My daughter showed me this song and I cried becasue this is so much how I feel. Thank you for giving my feelings words and melody. I really only hope this new family feels this house is just as special to them.

Hello, I am Korean. Please understand that the words may be strange due to the translation. I moved in December 2020. But in my old house, I had a lot of memories from my childhood, including my height that I measured in front of the door when I was little, and the drawings I had scribbled on the wall. But when I moved, I lost my precious friends and felt lonely. But listening to this song really resonates with me. I wish there were more good songs like this in Korea. I listen to good songs.🥰

When I turned 18 I moved to a city 1600 kms away from my hometown for higher studies. Lived there for 12 years in a small apartment by myself. Now I have moved back to my hometown and this amazing song reminds me of that little place I call home, my little refuge. That's the place I learnt how to be independent, how to be an adult, a home that witness my growth.

I’ve never moved. Lived in the same house since I was one. This song still makes me emotional though. There was a time I thought we were moving and I just walked around the house touching the walls and crying. Man, moving sounds difficult, and it’s very bittersweet.

I love this song. You see, unlike other people here who moved out already or the people who had to sell a home I still live at home and go to school. When I turn 18 I plan on leaving but I'll still miss my home. My parents and family isnt the best and a ton of things they think is wrong and the things they do is horrible. Basically I have a sucky home life. I got mature way to fast and sorta lost my childhood. Even though they are in the wrong and treat me and others bad I still love them in a way and acknowledge them as my family. For years music is my escape and way to cope in life and your music really just means something to me. I hope in the future that you excel and become popular. And even though this comment is really late and you are never going to see this I just wanted to say thank you. Your amazing. Also Ive listened to think song when it came out I just didnt have to guts to say this

The lyrics touched my heart so much and I thank you for expressing it this way. A band in Korea used this song as a cover song on an audition program, and I think it would be good to listen to it once.

I can't believe how this eases my mind so easily and make me clear up my mind again before I continue doing and fighting with my work, because I miss home now and I know there's a place I can go back after all of this.

we had to leave my chilhood home and neighborhood and this song made me cry. no matter how better new houses get, i still long and miss my hometown and our old little house.

I have moved over thirty times in my short existence on this Earth. I leave behind people and places and memories. But, even though it's sad, I try to remember that each place is an opportunity for new memories. This was a beautiful song, Will. Tears were definitely shed on my part and the nostalgia was almost overwhelming. I loved it, thank you for this.

Wow, I've moved 5 times (although I've just lived in the same 3 cities, but I've moved between them), but I've moved houses many times. While it's not a lot compared to you, I already feel like it's hard to stay grounded. I know I'll be moving more as I grow in my career, and it really is important to see a move as an opportunity to reinvent your life and experience new things

@@surelyanne it is very important. Life goes on, we just have to roll with it and try not to stress to much. We'll end up where we're meant to be. I hope you eventually become able to stay in one spot and plant roots.
