As an American expat living here in the Philippines, I can tell you I feel safer keeping my money in a Philippine bank rather than a US bank at present. I also get a much higher interest rate on my savings account here than the US.

Sa mga ordinary person siguro na clueless sa mga banks maniniwala pero sa mga taong my alam talaga sa ngyayare sa economic world its a nono 😂 apat nga lang na banko sinabe niya anim na nga nababanktrup na bigbanks e in just a weeks 😂 at yung sinasabe niyang wag maniwala sa twitter e si robert kayosaki nagsabe na bilyonaryo kanino ako maniniwala sa bilyonaryo o sa financial experts na hindi naman bilyonaryo syempre sa bilyonaryo 😂

Marami na din po kasing financial institutions na kalaban ang mga banko meron ng mga apps na we can receive and send money. Uso na po ngayon na kahit zero maintenaning balance may debit card ka na . Marami po ang mga dahilan like technology. Opo tama po maraming nag focus sa tech. Yes madali po ang transactions nowadays due to digitalization . Yes ang banko po dapat good standing, pagandahin ang services .

I might be unaware, but I never heard from my parents that a bank run has happened in the Philippines. Just to be ready, I think we need to just maximize our deposits by 500K in one bank and then deposit to a different one. This is to maximize the PDIC 500k insurance if this happens.

True, be aware of it and even if the banks failed know how much you will be insured guaranteed by the PDIC.

Actually, nagkaroon na ng bank run dito sa Pilipinas nuon. Yung Urban Bank at Banco Filipino. But they're not really major banks. They're just thrift banks.

When all is said and done, saan ko naman itatago ang cash ko? Kung sa haus lang baka maging magnet pa sa magnanakaw. Kahit caha kayang kunin pag sinugod ka ng grupo. Kaya sa tingin ko, the cash is still safest with the banks basta most of it covered ng pdic.

I'm the kind of person who gets easily bored and moves on after 10-15 seconds. Pero so far, lahat ng videos ni Mr. Rex Mendoza, surprisingly, natatapos ko kahit more than 1hr pa. I think one glaring reason is the connection he makes when he speaks. The clarity of his words and the mix of languages used, minsan malalim na tagalog pa, awakens one's interest to watch until the end. In fact, hinde ko na namamalayan ang oras. I have a new favorite channel now and that is Rampver!

Thank you for this timely info. But sa Pinas medyo remote dahil magulang sobra ang comml banko sa Pinas. Except of course if may corruption like what rcbc did sa educ insurance nila and filed bankruptcy to run away from their obligation and remain rich until now, after pinaglaruan iyon processo. But for other banks, they are very conservative, magulang pero hindi corrupt. That's my take.

Isa ako sa nakinabang....totoo po yan Bago nagsara ang isang banco nung nagkaroon ng crises sa Pilipinas, Naopen ang mga foreclosed lots at isa ako sa mga nakabili ng lote. After 10 years, binenta namin ang lote at kumita 100 times na siyang ibinili din namin ng unit dito sa US
