What I have noticed from all the talking puppets on these market networks when she goes onto their shows you can tell they don’t like Cathie W or take her seriously and it make me want to reach through the screen and snatch them up. I hope she proves them all wrong as for this year so far so good so many critics talked trash when she was buying coinbase and boy it’s been kicking ass. Keep up the great work

Thank you Cathy and team. Question: Since when have you been saying that inflation was transitory and that we will end up with deflation. Should it not have already happened by now (esp with the fed continuing to raise intt rates)? Would it he possible for the ordinary public to hear a discussion between you and some dissenters like the ones that come from the fed or maybe someone like Larry Sunmers (maybe in a different forum or podcast)? Reason for request: We (lay people) do not get to hear the counter arguments to your specific points and then a rebuttal again from you. Thank you

On April 3, 2022 (the earliest I can go back) I stated: "mv=pq and the real value of everything is always relative. thus endth the lesson. - Commented on Why Disruptive Innovation Is Inherently Controversial | ITK with Cathie Wood" In fact, I was saying so in 2020 when most were screaming deflation. Now - money supply and velocity are substantially higher than early 2020, hence prices followed. When velocity peaked in 1996, money growth was flat. Velocity follows supply. M2 is not determinative of pq, mv is. Thus endth...

It has been suggested that the explanation is in geopolitics. Higher rates increases the value of the dollar, blunting any attempt at dedollarization, and lowering the relative value of commodities. In this new geostrategic realignment, China has productive capacity, and Russia has resources/energy. A strong dollar wth irresistible rates that suck up global liquidity is a blunt weapon that might push the defiant nations into recession. I suppose it is better than WW3. Pure speculation, but the theory fits the observed reality.

It's curious that the Fed started raising rates when the debt ceiling issue started up. Not during the transitory phase when inflation hit 6%. It seems somewhat convenient that yield rates are so high right as we head into a " slight recession". I suppose we will see if the market flips into bonds during the recession and increases the current bond issuance of 34 trillion to another 1 or 2 trillion. Could be a coincidence though 🤔

MV = PQ M*V = P*Q if M is negative: (-M)(V) = a negative value, which you're saying is GDP But, if both M and V are negative, then GDP is positive?
@itssteve6018

You've got it wrong. Its not that these are negative values. Its that they are decreasing. So M and V are becoming smaller numbers. The rate of change is negative, but they are still positive integers.

Every single ITK episode is about macroeconomics - something a fund manager can't control and something even the Federal Reserve can't reliably predict in advance. These presentations should primarily be about what Cathie is hired to do, which is picking stocks within the innovation space that she thinks will outperform over the long term.

As for oil , the demand destruction Is happening, but as long as production can be cut by the big oil producers , the price will not drop at the pump. We are going to have drops in demand followed by small drop in oil prices , then big cuts in production. The last people to convert to electric cars will be penalized huge at the pump.

There was a bank run, into money markets, even though the money never left the banks can't touch it and credit is tightening. The 160 billion special fed window was a bank stimulus that they maxed and will use to pay themselves out not save their balance sheets. Thats why we saw a spike in the markets. Commercial loans this year are predicted to default at 20% based on 50% occupancy since covid and the doubling in rates to refinance. Thats enough to tip the system combined with the decline of home prices. That's why the market is predicting 2.5% rate drops by next year. That might happen, but the consequences will be paid in economic damage and not monetary policy. Now factor in AI adoption, self driving, global warming, political chaos internallty, the strong possibility of war with Russia or China or Both - we are sitting on a bomb watching the timer tick to zero giving a thumbs up because it hasn't exploded yet. Look for 2-3 years of hard recession with marked sector variance. It's gonna be a shit show and no one come out smelling good. Best to be an active portfolio manager who can go up and down with the technicals and changes. Sit on your helmets boys, it's gonna get hot!

I am heavily invested with Ark and Cathie, and have been for years. I became a little sensitive to the idea that the group has become a little "cultish." I write this only as a point to be cautious of.
