We're Chris W. Smith and Jack De Sena (aka Chris & Jack). We've been friends for years and love making high-quality, high-concept sketch comedy. Chris was a Blue Man in Blue Man Group. Jack voiced Sokka in Avatar the Last Airbender. In 2016 we united to create this channel, confusingly titled “Chris & Jack”, which has served as a shared platform to write, produce, direct, edit, and star in our own stuff. Also, we were also ghosts the whole time you were reading this. Supernatural twist!

There is beauty in inefficiency, and to think solely in the terms of efficiency is to invite stagnation, and limits the potential for growth. For every percieved inefficiency or deficiency ir irrationatlity in one area, humans have proven time and again that they excell in others. For with those inefficencies comes variances and variables, which creates new ideas and new innovation.

I've always wondered that point. If robots (in the movies) are evolving enough to understand they don't want us, AND they keep evolving to adapt to everything we do, WHY WOULD THEY NOT EVOLVE ENOUGH TO IGNORE US? Like how your robots moved on to another existence, OR like how we ignore 99% of bacteria and viruses, or even most insects, we just don't care what they do because they are insignificant to our lives. Nope they get hung up on killing us and that becomes their new objective forever.

The robots having taken over the world out of a desire to do things like fold shirts is, intentionally or not, a neat tie to the Paperclip Problem. Basically, the premise goes that if you create a self-improving AI and give it the task of “Make paperclips as efficiently as possible”, it will eventually convert all matter in the cosmos into paperclips.

Robots don't require shirts. Without humans, that robot's primary function of folding shirts becomes meaningless...thus, the robot's own existence becomes meaningless & it's function is no longer required. So, by their own logic, the robots need humans to exist in order to give their own existence purpose. In deleting humans, they may as well delete themselves...making the original argument against humanity cyclical & flawed. Thereby, their argument against the continued existence of humanity is an invalid argument & serves only a superfluous function resulting in the robots' own inefficiency.

Robots have no need of buttons and shirts. And many other tasks they would be programmed for. Therefore if they eliminate humans they are eliminating the need for at least half of all the machines in the world as well either condemning their fellow machines to be pointless or to die themselves. Thus humans are necessary because their needs keep the robots necessary

The first line of the description is the cherry on this sundae. A cherry which, in the nicest way possible, might be more delicious than the sundae...? I've rewritten this four times and I still can't get it to not sound mean, but I just need the world to know how much I appreciate the wordplay.

Oh my gosh I was so excited when I got the notification for this video this morning! My first new video as a subscriber! I am absolutely astounded at the constant high level of creativity you guys have. You take a topic which seems to be pretty simple and constantly surprise me with jokes throughout and a twist ending I never see coming. Can't wait to see all the new exciting videos you guys have in store!
