Intro to Denis Johnson: his major works, which to start with, and more

I’d recommend starting with Train Dreams. My favorite stories in there are Work and Emergency.
Tree of Smoke is my favorite novel by Denis Johnson.
I’ve read more than half of his works, and all of his most popular ones. Leave a comment about a book I omitted if you read it and loved it.
I’ll be making more videos about Denis Johnson in the future. He’s one of my all-time favorites.

Last month I bought Nobody Moves and Train Dreams, Train Dreams will be the first book of his that I will read. I rarely see anyone mention him around booktube.

Hadn't heard of Denis until I came across your channel and your enthusiasm for the author got me to pick up Jesus' Son and Tree of Smoke from my local used bookstore. Excited to read them!
